The combat text is freaking awesome though. I love it. Console players are gonna be foaming from the mouth.

You know, I was actually quite worried about this. I thought it would take up a lot more of the screen. Even the hit numbers above enemies are so small, that you barely notice them, and it's great to actually see what damage you're doing to an enemy.

I like the combat text. It serves its purpose really well and is a nice addition. Very pleasantly surprised.

I was really surprised too. It's much better than the addons imho. I like the way it repositions itself dynamically - like you're sieging a wall for instance, the damage will show up at the point of contact then lightly fade away.
It's also extremely customisable. I was just expecting a toggle on and off button, but you get so much more control over it. Very impressed.

For Full DK tanks and DPS Magicka DKs its a very nice patch, for DPS Stamina DKs its a nightmare.

It was just a question of time when they get rid of the weapon damage dependencies,
cause nobody picks a class and then barely use it skills, finally the focus is playing a DK and not a weapon related slave.

Well, I love it, now just want to see crossfaction and them making the dlc area, a cross faction non pvp area dedicated to rpers! Allowing us to rp together. Now I do think they need to listen to the player base most of the nerf on temp healing but make it so that bol only affects 4 targets, so its usable in group dungeons and stuff as well as undo the nerf on gain.Otherwise I got to say the patch is good and I am happy of course they need a lot of fixing for the dlc, its just out and lots of bugs.
They got a lot to work on but I am hopeful they will do mostly right with the player base in the end.

I really got the feeling that they nerf the Templar to death.
Maybe they want to introduce a new class to replace it and ne a free spot...idk.

I just began to like my Stamplar and now its almost useless compared to other classes and builds...

Maybe the long forgotten class "Warden".

For the most part yes, as someone on a break from the game right now due to boredom of its current state (mostly PvP) I'm excited for what's announced and look forward to coming back for it.

HOWEVER... there are a lot of minor issues I have which I really hope they listen to the feedback on and get tweaked. I'm over the moon to see so many official feedback threads, it's damn amazing to have this level of dialogue from ZOS after so long, however now I am just preying they listen to some of that feedback and if they have made a mistake in the eyes of the community (such as 90% AP reductions to PvP skills) they'll admit they missed the mark and propose a new idea.

There is nothing wrong with making a mistake, if you can admit to it and improve from it.

This is the overall impression I got about ZOS so far, that they really want to make this game shine. it might not be done in an instant and takes it time, but most will agree on that the game has massively improved since launch. So ESO seems to be out of its infant state and entering adolescence. There are still old issues to be taken care of in order to make it enjoyable for all kind of players, but I truely believe that they are working on it and are listening to the feedback of the community.

If ZOS is continuing to make progress like that, we will have good times ahead and will get a stable game (for me it is stable already) with lots of new expansions coming up. Tamriel is huge and there is enough content to be made for years to come. I truely believe that both Bethesda and ZOS are proud of what they have created and I think they have reason to be proud. And out of this pride comes the will to make it even better, the best MMORPG out there. And this could happen, because we TES players are loving their creation and want ESO to succeed as a true TES game. I for one believe that ZOS is truely willing to lead ESO into a bright future and that this game will be around for longer than 10 years to come.

    From what I read?

Nope, seems like Sorcs are gonna be the undisputed kings.

To be fair though, time will tell if its as bad as I expect.

Since I mainly play pvp these days the rest of the changes are meh to me, the templar BoL nerf was nice.

I've seen a couple vids of Templars getting beat on by pure DPS builds and their breath of life spam kept them alive for way too long when it was 1v4 and the Templars were cut off from their zergs too.

if you need 4 people and you can't burst someone down in the cc. i have to say that's a L2P. and the healing on theirself isn't nerfed. it losing a heal to an extra player which effect PvE more again then PvP. because PvE is always with 4 people with one healer. PvP the groups aren't as set.

What I don't get is this, I've heard from various people that nightblades are op, ive also heard the same about dragon knights. And now every one is saying templars and sorcerers! I don't get it, if they are all op, than aren't they all truly balanced?

    Currently it's:

    1. Stam nb's - The best
    2. Magicka sorc/ Magicka nb's - Second best classes
3.Stak dk (otherwise known as a 2h user)
    4.
    5.
    6. Theres a big gap...
    7. Mag Templar
    8. Stam sorc/ Stam templar
    9. Mag dk

Thats how it os for pvp at least.

magicka nb at same level as magicka sorc
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
just because it can cloak? magicka sorc has higher dps with 3x the defense

No, I don't like it, as my main char is a templar. I even did not like the vr-16 introduction and I did not like the 50% damage cut in PvP, which further "handicapped" my Templar (little burst damage capability of the class, clunky skills, etc.). This class feels like to fight in a wheel chair for me.

However, that's standard solo PvE, not PvP or any endgame group content. For standard PvE, Templars are better than any other class, imho.

    No Way!

They dont listen to the Players, the bad rework of the Skills proofed that. It feels mostly like they want to fill their Patchnotes with many mindless Ideas and Numbers, to sell it better. Here are the most important Points for me, why i dont like it.

    1) They dont rework the important Skills, they dont listen to the Players Feedback. They proofed this, look at the Changes, its absolutley mindless.

    2) The most new Sets are really bad. Most of them Players cant or dont want to use them ever. The Ideas are to crazy without really being helpfull. Some few Sets, like the Trial Sets offers Options to improve the Equip but we have to see how it really works.

    3) Thieves Content isnt a Thing for me and i am sure that not everyone likes to do this.

It is a fine Idea to open Threads in the Forum and saying Things like "We listen and we work on it" and after the Players trust them and waited a long Time, they get total strange Patches. Mostly no Things the Players wanted or needed. So, do they care and work on this really?

The Idea of bringing new Sets and Options to farm them, is great. I like the Idea that you can farm the Sets in different Ways. But if the Sets are bad, why someone should want to farm them?

If i dont want to sneak around, dont want to farm the most Sets because they are bad like Trash and no Skills are reworked like the Players want, why i should like this DLC? Sounds logical, eh?

If this is the Way Zos want to offer future DLCs, with some bad Sets and always the same Mechanics, then i see no Reason to support this Company.

I'm not fond of the changes to Sorc Pets... mainly because of how I have my controller setup using XPadder... I typically have my Clannfear on the R1 (PS4 controller) but also have that button configured for Sprinting when held. Now it seems, the only way to banish your pet is by holding the button four seconds- which will interfere with my Sprint functionality. This means that I'll have to use the keyboard to banish pets instead of being able to do so from the controller. A minor issue in a predominantly positive update.

I am just glad that my main characters are all Magicka builds and most of them are Altmer... ;)

I prefer DK in solo play. but that also has to do with preferences of playstyle
@leepalmer95 i do PvP from time to time. i admid i prefer PvE because it's harder. Yes i will get bsed by this but i will explain. in PvE you get punished for dieing, repair cost starting all over leaderboards ect. In PvP though there is 0 penalty of dieing. So even a 3 year old can PvP (don't mean to insult i will explain why). all you need to do if you are not good is buff others. easiest way to do this is heal bot. so as PvP stands now anyone can get everything. sure some people will take it more times but others but you can. untill there is mroe risk reward added to PvP PvE will always be more difficult same can be said about the sewers. the PvE player has often when attacked deal with the mobs as with the other player attacking him while risking more TV. and people are surprised that people look for safety in numbers? i don't
and to get back to magicka sorc and magicka NB being on same level is plainly not true. magicka NB has hella alot more counters especially from magicka sorc. while magicka sorc only have a gimcky set to counter their shields?
