Big issue with pickpocketing quest (Idle Hands) from the noticeboard

I am not sure whether this is intentional, but if so could you please have a rethink Zeni?
I was on the last portion of Idle Hands (noticeboard pickpocketing quest to pickpocket 3 crafting items or 10 items across 3 zones) - I was right near the end of it, and stumbled upon an item from Kari's Hitlist - so went back to the Hideout in Abah's Landing to see how to turn in that gold item...
and when I entered the cistern, my pickpocketing quest updated to speak to Kari and I cannot now continue it for the maximum reward. If this happened on live, I would be completely gutted, I have spent hours doing that pickpocketing quest to try to get the maximum reward, waited out several bounties (I am not great at pickpocketing!), only to have the quest update when I am only a couple of items short of the target for max reward - because I happened to enter the hideout for an unrelated reason.
Please do not have these noticeboard quests update upon entering the cistern, I didn't realise that would happen, and wanted to continue with that quest - make us talk to someone to end it before max reward completion. The only saving grace is that this is not on live, that would have been extremely frustrating.
