DoT on shields?

The damage over time effects from abilities such as Searing Strike, Twin Slashes, or Destructive Touch can now be applied to targets that fully or partially absorb the damage from a damage shield, or targets that are blocking.
Does this include poison injection?
Altmer Sorceror, magicka

It applies to the shield and eats away at that, not directly at health. It's like, you hit them so hard with your sword that the magicka starts bleeding out of their spell. Or something. I like it.Men'Do PC NA AD Khajiit

✭✭All DOTs and it doesn't applied to the shield but to the target the DOT bypasses the shield and blocking.

Sorc shields are pretty much useless as they are. They're too weak right now to stand up to most stamina builds, and the DoTs only make it worse.
Yeh most stam builds that know what there doing with animation canceling rip through my shield in like 2 seconds -

If it says damage over time it is effected by them be one for the other or both. Well unless it is poison DoT then it is effected by the new mighty CP and thaumaturge. -
