Need help Selling Items

Hello. I am new to the ESO and just started, although I am a veteran of Skyrim. Since I am new, I am earning and finding weapons and armor among many other things. So my inventory is always near full. I have to destroy things to make room. When I go to ANY merchant in any town, I have a "BUY" screen to the left. I can not find the "SELL" screen. I am on a PC and I am using a PS4 controller to play. A hint tell me to RT the controller to get the SELL screen but nothing happens. I really need to find a way to sell things. Is there a keyboard command? What am I doing wrong? I've got to level 9, but if I can sell things, my game is useless. Can anyone help me?

When you open the merchant interface, there should be icons along the top for buying, selling, and one or two others. You'd need to click on the second icon for selling. I don't know if there's a different way of doing it with a PS4 controller.

If you're desperate, you might try switching over to a mouse for as long as it takes you to unload your stuff.

Ok, this is ridiculous! I DO use my mouse in addition to the PS4 controller. It doesn't work and when I click on those icons upper left of the merchant, nothing happens. It is like it is locked at the "BUY" screen. I click and click and click and click.. nothing. In fact, I have to use my mouse for somethings because the PS4 doesn't support some commands, such as the 'Y' command.

I am not sure what else to do... I know I have valid weapons and armor to sell and not just white items. In fact, I purchased a 'red' sword (level 14) that I can't use, but it won't let me sell.

This might be a glitch. Again, does anyone know of maybe a keyboard command I can try? Or something else. I am in desperate need of help!

@GreenFeather do you go to a merchant npc that you can repair at?

There is a difference between the NPCs that hold guildkiosks (you can only buy from those) and NPCs that are ingame merchants .... easiest way to know is, if you can repair at them, then it's one of those you can sell to.


If that didn't work, try sending in a ticket to Zenimax about this issue, because you should be able to sell your loot.
