My VR9 Templar wrecked a VR16 Dragonknight today. It was a long battle between two tanks -- sort of the Monitor and Merrimac thing -- but I prevailed and Bleaker's Outpost was saved.
It's also a riot when Nightblades try to gank me. They bounce off like ping pong balls against my shield. Toss up the Unstoppable, Shield charge them, jab a few times, charge them as they try to get away, maybe shard them and jab them to death for the sweet, sweet AP.

✭Well, when one of our ultimates is so terrible I wouldn't even slot it as a normal ability, when our only unblockable CC has to be aimed and has a ridiculous cast time, when our execute is a twice-nerfed channel that won't even function if a target is dodge rolling, when our gap closer can literally be a more detrimental death sentence than lag, when our only 2 decent dps abilities are either cone shaped channels or easily dodgable yellow puff balls with painful cast times, and when our defensive abilities are so good, that above everything else that's completely broken or imbalanced in the game, templar healing must be nerfed first and foremost, I guess the best way to PvP is to hide in a corner and hope they don't have 1 or 2 competent players who will send you directly back into the horse simulator.
Sorry for the long sentence, a lot is riding on the DLC update.7 -

I turned my Templar into a nightblade hunter. I slap a costume on and stand in a field looking through my inventory. Doesn't take too long before I have a few ambush spamming me. They don't seem to be able to get through my huge spell/physical resistance with the occasional heal when my stamina depletes. I can almost feel their rage at being unable to 'gank' me.PS4/EU

OP - I feel for you. Magplar is hard in solo/smallscale if you are outnumbered, especially with how you will get focused a lot, broken CC/CC immunity at times, spambush mini-stun etc.
