Use it with a Xivkyn polymorph. It does a proper evil chanting thing with it. Quite cool.

maybe a toggle AOE heal?

"uses x amount of magicka per second" kinda like the DK flames of oblivion was prior to 1.6 but healing, definitely would need to be balanced so that one couldn't just sit on channeled focus and just leave it on

It's just too long of a channel time and makes you too slow! Ugh.

I would use it more if one second or less channel, no slow and less healing.

Another idea, what if it was a circle on the ground sort of like circle of protection/ring of preservation but one morph does "increase x amount of healing receive" the other morph could be "increase spell resistance for x amount" for those that stand on it and it would be magicka based.

Replace it with a source of major expedition, aside from skills that don't work properly, the only thing keeping templar from being balanced in pvp is lack of mobility, imo

Never even bothered investing the skillpoint. There are too many other more effective options that don't root you in place.

About half speed, and you can roll dodge to cancel. About the same as hard casting frags only it takes a little longer.

Why not increase the radius and decrease the healing proportional to distance? Those at max distance get minimal heals, while those close by get greater heals. Keep the channel.

I invested into it. And in preparation to pts, leveled all templar skills and morphs to 4th stage, hoping that useless morphs will be usefull.

No please, do not remove it. I and oh so many other Templars use this ability. It may not be the best heal out there, but we still love it and would be devastated to see it disappear. @Lawrence_Schick, do you remember the day that Sload wre removed from ESO? That's what I would feel if Healing Ritual was removed or replaced.

I use the Ritual of Rebirth morph, and while it does require you to be aware of your allies' health at all times -- as well a healer should -- for smaller PvE groups I get a lot of mileage out of this. I basically heal myself for 20K and allies for 16K, with a FAR more sustainable magicka cost than Breath of Life, and serves as a full heal with no target cap (at present, and to my knowledge). Breath of Life is great for longer ranges and quick emergencies in small groups, but I would hate it if I was robbed of this choice between slow-and-full or quick-and-expensive.

Regeneration (I use Mutagen), like Breath of Life, has a target cap, and Grand Healing (using Illustrious Healing, as the magicka gain from Springs was a pittance and I've adequate sustain) is turning out to be awkward to use since it requires you to drop a ring. I'm only recently fiddling with Res Staff heals, though, since I've been so satisfied with my Templar heals. I'm mainly getting them in case I need to heavily layer area heals/HoTs.

So, yeah, it gets used. Don't screw around with it. :P

Yea I'm sick of having to run quick cloak or bow to have some mobility.

it does work on a health build but then BoL is still viable aswell :P

Totally Agree. Nobody uses Healing Ritual (sorry if you ((reading this)) use it) and we need a new defensive ability since Blazing Shield/Radiant Ward is extremely useless now.
