I know it's been talked about before but I just wanted to bring it up again. I love PvP that's honestly the whole reason i bought this game in the first place but lately I can barely ever seem to find fights where i don't lose because my frames drop to 0 and my ping shoots up to above 1k. It's unacceptable when you even APPROACH an area with a battle and you start to lag. Sometimes i'll even be sitting in the North High Rock gate and i'll lag because of a huge fight going on somewhere in the server. It's terrible. Zenimax really needs to fix the lag somehow or they'll just lose more and more players as it continues.

    They have had 18 months to imporve this issue and instead, INSTEAD, they have made it worse, every...single... time...

    Don't make excuses for them.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
    • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
    • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
    • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
    • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking
    • Assign specific group sizes to specific campaigns (24-16-8)
    • Make forward camps impossible to place near objectives
    • Make snares only available from ground effects abilities
    • Change emperorship to last minimum 24hours
    • Fix body sliding after cc breaking too quickly
    • Remove Block Casting through Battle Spirit
    • Fix the speed drop while jumping - see video

    It is hard to tell if it is worse.
    Maybe it feels worse because there are a lot of new gear and abilities that proc other abilities and there are more people there that are using those abilities and gear.
    Maybe if they wouldn't change things at all then the whole cirodiil would be totally paralyzed by now.

    I think their biggest mistake was to introduce this AOE cap....maybe it helped the server a bit to reduce calculus - but it promoted the Ball groups. Now there is either no players in an area or multiple ball groups.

    The problem is that they cannot get rid of AOE caps now that easily because the players will continue running in ball groups for a while....and this will just kill the server.

    So how do you want them to fix the lag problem .... I would gladly suggest them how to fix it if I knew....

    the lag began over a year ago. ZOS has had plenty of time to get out some kind of fix, but instead focused on PvE content like craglorn and undaunted pledges. Now we see the consequences of that decision.
