    [snip]

so maybe pvp should give us the same amount of CP as grinding pve.
assuming we have the same playing time, what else would justify the difference between our CP numbers?

dont you guys have to work, or study, or something? maybe pay some attention to your family?
dont you have a real life outisde tamriel, do u?

I work 36 hours a week as an EMT, and I'm a full time student. I mainly play on evenings after I'm done with work or school work, and I usually play all day Sunday. Thanks for asking :-)

    This would be nice

I actually mainly PvP, but I also do a good bit of PvE. I do the undaunted pledge just about every day, I do VMSA on Sundays and when I'm not doing either I'm in Cyrodiil. PvP is easily my favorite aspect of the game. What I do in PvE is to improve my PvP. But yeah I think PvP could use an xp buff.

I earn a few CPs in PVP, but not as much as the people who grind, do dungeons, spend all day in Maelstrom. Unfortunately I hate that stuff.

Nope, even doing dungeons and Wrotghar dailies you earn very little cps. With two dungeons and two dailies you play for 60/90 min getting around one cp: that of enlightment, of course, cause without enlightment you would get around a quarter of cp or little more...

Actually, once finished the quests, the only way for earning cps quickly is mindless grinding. And this is not exactly playing, it's more like a stupid and repetitive work... (Nothing against grinders, of course: I grind for about an hour a day myself, but I hate this and I hate to have to do it in order to remain competitive and reach that damned cap)

So, if ZOS wants its game remains a playful game and not a work (especially for new customers, who start now with zero cp...), they have either to recalculate experience points (giving much more experience for real contents, in pve or pvp), or to put a cap which is fine with actual earning levels: 51 points a quarter is ok with actual levels (on the contrary, first cap of 501 is absurdly high, at least for console players who want to play and not to work...). If you think that 15 years to reach the max cap is too long, we can simple double/triple/... the xp earned.

How people play the game is irrelevant to how the game should function! By your Definition, the EU/NA-Servers should only open at evenings! Besides I for example spend more time playing the game/socializing with friends over TS than on the forums.

On the other Hand, you gained since u6 (as you played the game since beta) 320 CPs considering the 70CPs we got at the beginning. That means you gained almost 1CP per day equivalent to your enlightenment. Some other players prefer more aggressive playstyle optimizing the profit from the game to its max. If you played the game to gain more XP than your enlightenment required, or leveled new characters, you would have had easily reached the 500 CPs long ago!

To read people in this topic saying they will leave the game if they dont increase the cap is just the answer zos needs to know what kind of players they should appeal. And of course they shouldnt increase the cap for DB either. There are a bunch of nolifers ganking all around with 2k cp. For every people blaming here there are 10 playing the gaming enjoying the content and paying the bills. Thats where ZOS should focus their efforts, not in the 40 grinders out there just ganking all around.

but let's all agree leveling system by CP is flawed by it's core anyway. beter to just cap level at 50 and be done with the CP all together, because all CP has done is bring more pain and complains by the player base

In fact all cp system is worst maybe than vr. But is what we have now. I would prefer and alternate advancement ala AoC and tier armor. At first I saw the cs like and alternatw advancement but it is not like that. Feels more like a rushed and sudden thing just to calm people when vr were a problem. Anyway,if they put work with changing a bit the cs,it can be better.

no we don't want tier armor leveling like the light leveling in destiny that is even worse then CP.

i think in ESO would be better. But hey...ZOS can do whatever they want if they still creating TES like dlcs. At least for me.

    No.

Competitive games should be played for fun, not for the "edge on other players".
Killing casual players with a 400+ CP character is not knightly, it is pathetic.

PvP should be about skill, not about CPs.
Therefore: Remove CPs from PvP, please.

No it is not. consoles players don't have many CP's. What is a determining factor is the lag in pvp and bugs

Yeah I'm on console with 425 CPs, and I think this is a horrible decision. My cousin has 520, and a guild member of mine has around 550. None of us are PC transfers. If they don't increase the cap, there's going to be a lot of us discouraged because we're going to be playing this game without feeling like we're progressing. I can only imagine how miserable this is going to make the PC community feel. Also 15 years to max out? Lol yeah because I'm going to be playing this 15 years from now.

I might get killed for this, but what happened to playing the game for the enjoyment of the game? Don't most games have a reasonably reachable cap?

Is there no other reason to play than upward progression?

I'm still enjoying it, but I like to feel like I'm progressing. Which I am because I'm not at the cap, however I will be by the time the thieves guild is released, as will most of my guild mates. A couple of them have actually been past the cap for around a month now. I just think it's foolish to keep the cap where it is.

If I'm not mistaken Zos said they are raising based on the average CP. Since the average is still really low they are raising by a small amount this time.

I think it's dumb to base CP off the people who sit in town all day selling stuff or only play a hour a night to knock out a pledge.

Currently I'm over the cap but wasn't when the put it in place. Now when I get a new CP point it's such a drag. Can't use it, over 900k per point right now.

^^ Yes there is a CP cap atm..but not sure what the number is. For people hating the cap you can blame PvP..it ruins everything. If it wasn't for PvP they could worry less about throttling CP gain.

What a bunch of nonsense topics regarding cp caps.

Dont you see is ZOS who REALY KNOWS the amount of cp the vast majority have?

Just because there are 30 or 40 people blaming here won't change reality. Reality is the vast majority of people is far from the cp cap.

For every 1 user blaming here, there are maybe 10 really far from 501 cp.

But who knows...maybe 95% of players have more than 501cp and thats why zos is not increasing the cap in the next dlc...

    o_O

Agreed, People are just mad they cant get a million CP and be totally OP vs the rest of the community and feel like gods in PVP.

People who can't progress in an MMO often leave. ZOS, in their usual bizarre fashion, is making PC players who played for over a year, now wait on console players to "catch up" when they are two totally different games. There is ZERO reason to punish PC players by making them pay for ZOS's inability to initially release both platforms concurrently. They should dramatically raise the cp cap on PC if they want to keep anyone here.

I agree in principle; however I must point out that at least in my case, having played since beta, I only have 3 VR characters and 1 who is VR16. I know there are people with full rosters of VR16 characters; but are these the average player, or out-layers who play 24/7/365? I mention this because in my case I just don't see myself hitting the ceiling any time soon; with life/fulltime job et al..

Yeah, I don't really get why they have to keep all platforms tied to the same schedule when they clearly aren't on the same schedule. Then again..PC has been getting punished for consoles all along. PC beta tests game for console. PC pays sub to fund game and set up B2P transition for consoles. PC doesn't get content that is ready and supposed to be released during subscription time period because...console release (and then gets to pay for it again). So I guess it shouldn't surprise anyone.
