Xbox Elite Controller Setup

I jushed received a Xbox Elite Controller. Does anyone else play with this? If so how have you mapped the buttons and what paddles do you use?

I am also considering buying one. Anyone have experience with it? I think mapping the weapon swap to one of the paddles would probably be most beneficial. Maybe use a couple paddles for synergies rather than having to fat finger Y+B.

The poison bomb synergy in Imperial City Prison for Ibomez is one of the most frustrating things. Taking your right thumb off the thumb stick to hit Y+B and trying to aim the bomb is the most challenging thing about that boss fight.

I use Weapon Swap, Quick Slot Use, B + Y for the synergy. I still tend to 'fat finger' Y + B and not use triggers though.

It feels nice in the hand, quite a bit heavier than normal controller but it's a 'nice' heavy.

You can't assign Y+B to one paddle can you? My guess is no but want a confirmation.

Also looking for confirmation. if you can map those, my wallet just got ~$2xx lighter

Tired of trying to use Ulti / Synergy and having multiple skills mapped to B,Y,RB,LB start popping instead

Haven't looked at the in-game controls menu but could you change synergy sync to something like down on the d-pad, or any single button instead of a 2 button combo? Then you could apply that to one of the elite controller's paddles. Just a thought.

I use it. I only mapped the paddles. All else is exactly the same

Paddles are d pad for weapon swap, clicking either thumb stick and emotes.

Play around with it tho cause there is a lot you can re-map

On Xbox one there is no way to map multiple buttons to one....kinda what I thought I be able to do but it's not allowed in set up. Kinda an overpriced controller at this point with 4 buttons to avoid using 4 existing buttons

I haven't really looked into it either, but i don't think there are any mapping options through the actual in game options menu. I will check later today when I get on though.

I have one but I don't use the paddles I just got it mainly for the grip and heavy feel, it's like a sense of quality in your hands. I do use the lock triggers so I don't have to hold LT or RT all the way down it's just half way to register a Block/Attack.

Man, that is quite upsetting really. Those damn double button inputs are so quirky its unreal.

I may still pick up an elite if it drops in price at some point. $200+ is too pricey for my casual-ness imo.

@jkolb2030 Not sure what store you're getting it from but they're 150$, in-comparison to those cheap controller sellers like scuf Xboxs controller is one hell of a deal. No plastic BS everything is nice premium material giving the controller more durability and a nice feel in the hand.

I just searched them on amazon, etc.. awhile ago. I may have gotten the price wrong, that is my fault.

Either way, its a hefty price for a controller. It is good to know that the quality is on par for that price tag, however.

I think the controller is worth the price point just for the comfort it offers above most xbox controllers

I personally use quickslot and weapon swap on paddles so I don't have to reach for the d-pad, makes animation canceling via weapon swapping feel a lot more natural and in general gives a much more responsive feel.

When my wife and I both play I go back to regular controller and there is a noticeable difference in my ability weapon swap on demand, occasionally resulting in that low health crushing shock instead of healing ward

Would put Light attack and bash on the other 2 paddles if playing a stam class, especially with s/b

I use paddles for existing X,B,Y,A buttons, however I map them for Y and B to be on the forward paddles and X and A to be on the rear paddles. This makes it much easier for me to use synergies, especially for the poison bombs and such. If you are going to spend an absorbent amount of time playing then I think it is totally worth it, however if you only play a few hours a week you probably wont really appreciate an Xbox one controller or even a scuff.

I'm gonna try this out a bit later, maybe beginning of next week, I love this idea
