Concern about crafting bag

I heard that they are planning on adding crafting bags to ESO plus members but I have one concern about that, what if you have to drop your subscription temporary especially if you don't have room in your inventory to take the items, do you loose everything inside?

I'm sure you would just lose the ability to put anything in it, but would not be restricted on withdrawals.

    But it's a valid question.

It may be too early for any confirmations but it's worth a shot. @ZOS_GinaBruno

Nah, you'd probably just get a full inventory with like 210/195, and you can't grab anything more, you can only drop items. Or maybe the items will be "stuck" inside, wich i believe is the best alternative. (Hostage items are best incentive for subs)

I would think you just can't place any more item's into the bag once your subscription is over. However once you take start to take item's out, they cannot go back in. This would be the best way to handle it i think.

I've posted this before... But I REALLY hope they are simply PURCHASABLE only by ESO+ members. Put them in an ESO+ store. Charge like.. I dunno... 1000 Crowns per crafting bag (different bags or different crafts) and call it a day. If I subscribe and decide to spend 6K crowns for all the bags then unsubscribe... then ZOS will have gotten their money from me.

After I unsub, I would still have full use of the bags.

As a consumer this is a good idea, but the crafting bags are supposed to incentivize keeping up the sub, not just paying for it one and done. They want to keep the subscriptions going, and it's currently lacking benefits right now.

Yea... almost a year ago I posted this thread: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/150450/eso-subscription-benefits-suggestions/p1

There are many things they can do to incentivize the sub. Holding the inventory hostage shouldn't be one of them.

    One gamer's opinion.

That being said. I am glad they're adding incentives to the ESO+ Sub... This just isn't the thing that will get ME to re-sub UNLESS it's to access an ESO+ section of the Crown Store.

That wouldnt help keep people subbed though.Anyone could sub,get the bags, and unsub. They shouldnt put them in the store at all as they are meant to be for ESO+ people.I dont begrudge people who dont sub anything, but if you put something out to get people to sub,you want them to stay subbed.

There won't be multiple bags because it is an 'unlimited material storage' bag... so there will be only ONE crafting bag because of the unlimited capacity.

I hope they make the subscriber only and then if you subscription runs out you can still withdraw items from the bags but not deposit anymore. That would make the most sense to me.

Most likely though, they will just be placed in the crown store only, as a means for generating money from more people.

This would not make sense because then what would be their purpose of making it ESO+ to add further subscription incentive but then also put it in the store. I could see them adding 'limited capacity' material bags, but the unlimited will remain an ESO+ exclusive I'm betting.

i suspect it'll be like being kicked from a trading guild with stuff up for auction. (because that game mechanic is already coded)

@Gidorick How about this: it gives you 15 spaces to start and each month when you get your monthly crowns it increases by 10.

I don't think it would. They've said that the crafting bags hold unlimited crafting mats. If people have hundreds of stacks of mats in there (which isn't all that unlikely - I know I will when I get mine) then that could be over a hundred mails coming to you, which would overload your inbox instantly, and prevent you from receiving any other mail (or even from receiving all of this mail) until you've cleared your inbox - which you can't do until you've taken all of those stacks of mats out of each individual mail. It seems unlikely that someone with a ton of stuff in their crafting bag would be able to hold all of it in their inventory, so you've now broken somebody's mail and prevented them from receiving any other mail until they can find a way to get rid of all that stuff.

I think it's much more likely to work the way a guild bank works when the guild drops below the minimum number of members to have a bank. Everything in there stays in there and you can still withdraw, but you can't deposit anything to it until you qualify for it again (by resubscribing).

There is a very popular add-on on ESOUI "Advanced Filters" which helps organize materials into different categories. If you don't have an aversion to add-ons, give it a try.

But, yes, there seems to be little purpose in subscribing to ESO+ for one month and then dumping the subscription once the crafting bag is obtained ... which is freeloading in my opinion. Maybe the 100+ e-mails of returned mats is a good incentive for players to not unsubscribe. B)

If they wanna get people subbed, add new crafting set to the game and when housing comes put somekind of offline progression to go with it. I know new console players are starting to reach trait 9 so it'd be perfect time to introduce new crafting sets.
