✭I think since I got the game/joined the forums, I've seen only two threads that were posted for us to make positive comments in. They were responses to the negative threads. I think one was post 10 things you like about the game, and another one was to say what you appreciated about the game. Haven't seen any since. I like those kind of threads...
No one makes threads "for us". If you really want to write about how much you love the game, have to make your own thread.
But honestly, these forced positive threads, are so damn boring. That's why they die in like a day. There's just nothing to discuss, *** or comment about.
Unlike you, I'm not interested in reading stranger after stranger praising the same pretty scenery. I already love the scenery and the lore, so there's nothing for me to add. Why these type of threads usually have a short life span, 1-3 pages tops. No one is commenting or interacting with others, only writing monologues and handing out agree/awesome.
Threads needs serious friction to stay active, as in people with different opinions and ideas about the game. Forced positive threads doesn't have any of it.

Folks may not like my ideas, but at least I try.
Nothing can improve if folks don't tell them what is broken, but it helps more if they also offer them an idea for a solution. A grown up person comes with constructive critic, that is being grown up. A childish person on the other hand will whine and complain and feel entitled to be given what they demand. So to me it is a matter of age, some might not be grown up even when older.6 -

There's also nothing wrong with people having different opinions and ideas, I love discussions like that, as long as they don't dissolve into outright arguments, name calling, and trolling, but that happens quite often. If that happens, I tend to not reply or get involved in any way, and let the bigger personalities battle it out

All that stuff like "eso sux balz", destructive feedback like "nerf x skill, because I don't want to spend 5 minutes to learn how to counter it", "PVP ARENA PVP ARENA PVP ARENA PVP ARENA" just shows how ignorat most of people here.
Still, detailed and constructive feedback is welcome and very appreciated here. It just happens way to rare.

It was related not to PVP arena itsel, I don't have anything against it. Have you seen that episode when headless idiots spammed in chat "PVP arena" during WHOLE EPISODE?
People couldn't even ask any questions during Q&A.
Ive never watched an episode of ESO Live because any important information always ends up in the forum, and unlike most players, I DON'T have a crush on Gina Bruno.

Looking at Gina is why a lot of guys watch ESOL?? I hear a lot of chatter on the forum over her looks. If she tickled my fancy, I'd probably watch it too.
It troubles me that you'd find my post immature. What is the purpose of life? To procreate.
You know what IS immature? Political correctness. An adult who is uncomfortable by my post is the immature one.
The purpose of life is whatever you make it. Life just matter with certain traits. It just does what it does. A particular living clump of matter came into being because it had precursors, so that clump likely has mechanisms so it to can be a precursor to a future living clump of matter, but that does not mean there is any purpose to that process any more than the purpose of life is to metabolize.
And then there's the whole naturalistic fallacy. Just because we are innately hardwired for violent behavior doesn't make it behavior we should find acceptable in society.
You also confuse respect for others for political correctness. The problem with frat boys isn't that they lack 'political correctness'. They lack respect for others, particularly women. It isn't politics that makes people with no respect for others pariahs.3 -

PVP Justice System was scrapped. Looking at Lefty's poll a lot of people were actually looking forward to it.
Cyrodiil's performance has been in ruins for a long time, even though it wasn't always this way. They are "looking into this", granted.
People are still getting snared, which is more like a root on every gap closer, so it gets spammed because they know the mechanic works like this. ZOS seem determined to leave it in even though everyone wants it gone. It didn't always work like this either.
Many skills, and even sets, rely on crits to proc, yet we still can't crit shields. Are you trolling us?
CC immunity is still bugged up to wazoo, destroying any chance of fair fights in PVP.
Communication between ZOS and their players completely sucks, except from Wheeler. He da man. But you want any information on your broken skills from Wrobel? You can forget it.
This isn't even a complete list, and you want positivity? Get real man.

Then we're told that the negativity is derived from players being passionate about the game. So passionate, it would seem, that they spend all their time trampling all over the game and the people who have created it. A serious answer might go something like this:
Some people (not me) bought this game before it went live. They paid a lot of money for it. I believe ESO (before the TU was addded) sold for around $80 for the Imperial edition. Back in those days, it wasn't enough to just buy the game; you also had to pay a monthly sub fee. And there was no crown store. You got what the game gave you.
Then Zenimax made the decision that B2P would be their preferred business model. This left a lot of people wondering why what they had been paying for since launch. They could keep up their monthly sub if they wanted access to the DLC without purchasing it or maybe some crowns tossed their way once in awhile.
Along the way, Zenimax took some stuff away. Some content was removed from the game with no real reason given. Some content was changed (I'm looking at you, Redguard Crafting Motiff), again with no reason given and despite many, many requests that the content be returned (really, this bugs me still ... and it happened right after I bought the game, but yeah, it bugs me).
A cursory reading of the historic official Zenimax content (The Road Ahead, etc.) shows that some content, including the Thieve's Guild, was promised a long time ago. And it's still not released (and no, release on the PTS is NOT release - that's bug testing).
And while @ZOS_JessicaFolsom and @ZOS_GinaBruno can say "We're giving you this information for transparency," I doubt anyone really believes that anymore. No, the reason they're releasing that information is to prevent people from leaving the game.
You see, @DhuBleidd , Zenimax is not stupid. They know if people leave the game, they might come back ... and they might not. If they can keep people waiting for content, then they can prevent subs from being cancelled. They know that by promising Q1 or Q2 release dates, they will keep some subs alive in the hope that those promises will come true. "Some subs alive" means they're still making money. Get it?
So, as others have said, some people have A LOT invested in this game. Money. Real money. Paid out every month. And from what I hear on zone and Guild chat, they're getting sick of being told "This is going to happen in Q1" when what they're really hearing is "This is going to the PTS in Q1 and we're going tweak it for another six months or so."
I admit: I bought the game (Imperial Edition) for $26 bucks. I subscribe, but I am thinking of cancelling. I don't have as much to complain about as others, and I don't like to complain, so I try not do it. But some people may have a legitimate right to voice their dissatisfaction with what they've been given by Zenimax - in return for the faith in the game and the company that they've demonstrated with their dollars.
Yeah. That might be a serious answer.
