Ouze Toadfish ?

For the people going for the Master Angler Achievement, did anyone found the Ouze Toadfish (Blue foul water fish in Malabal Tor) recently (meaning since December) ?

Since I 've been looking for it (mi-december) I spent 3k+ Crawlers and 150 Fish Roe. Still nothing. I fished something like 35/40 Stargazer and 20/25 Ghastel Bass, made something like 15 Perfect Roe with only Trodhs and Slaughterfishes, and got 250 Chubs, but no Ouze Toadfish.

I'm really getting desperate X___X'

Could someone give me hope ?

Have tried getting in touch, with the support team, by submitting a ticket? And explain what you did in this post, then they will sure help you.

Yeah I was thinking about that, but I wanted to know if other people got it recently.
I mean, I could just be EXTREMELY unlucky

Edit : And I am a bit afraid that I will have an answer like "oh but you have to be very patient when fishing, blue fish are quite rare, keep trying ! And have fun in Tamriel !"
Like I did when I submitted for Mai'q missing in Coldharbour (and he was missing and added in a later patch, still I was answered at the time that looking for him was part of the achievement...)

Yes. I did all of AD territories recently and got my Master Angler a few weeks ago. Foul water in Malabal Tor was a pain, most holes are around an island but often none of them were up when I checked. Try moving to a different zone and coming back later.

I can assure you I did move to other zones, and know almost all the foul water spots (I know 16 of them) You don't use 3k crawlers in a single hour.

But that's what I wanted to know. It's not bugged. Thank you.

Is nobody doing the Mastler Angler achiev ? Wouldn't be suprising but still

That one took me a while. Particularly since at the beginning I only knew the foul spots by the ocean and they were hardly ever up.

I did get it, and I'm quite sure it was in December. I just recently got Master Angler and my last two zones were Malabal Tor and Reaper's March.

Fishing with friends helps. I think 3-4 is ideal.

But there's always a fish in each zone that seems to take forever. In Alik'r, it was the Midget Salmon. In Auridon, the Blue Monkfish.

Keep fishing and you'll catch it. And get a ton of roe in the process!

That particular blue fish had me coming back to Malabal Tor long after I had caught everything else needed for my master angler achievement and then one day BOOM it was there.

Persist. That is my only advice.

I completed Coldharbour in the meantime, and began Reaper's March but... When I'm done with Reaper's March, the Ouze Toadfish will be the only one missing for me to get the achiev.
It's getting really stressful

I went through several hundred bait trying to get the two rare foul water for both Malabal Tor and Reaper's March. I, too, thought it was bugged, but then just this past week I got them both on the same day. Go figure. PC North America.

This is just speculation, but whenever I find myself needing that one last rare, it seems to pop up in a fishing hole that I had not fished previously. I read that, like dungeon bosses, there can only be so many active fishing holes at once and you have to fish out one for another to randomly pop up elsewhere.

In this latest case, I bit the bullet and started clearing out non-foul water holes in Malabal Tor and Reaper's March and then revisited the foul water spots and new fishing spots appeared that I didn't previously see (I use an add-on to show which spots I fished and what I caught). That's where I got my blues.

I got that fish about 2 Weeks ago. Took me about 100 Crawlers. +-50

Malabal Tor was the last area I had to clear for the achievement. But that just happened randomly. It wasn't much harder than other zones. I needed some time to get the blue fishes in both river and lake though.

Hadest one for me was the Dab in Stormhaven by far.

I got it one week ago and it was the last fish I catched there.
Your problem reminds me fishing in Coldharbour when it took literally one year to catch the Stingerpike and I've used lot of baits can't even remember how many,in the end is just a matter of RNG and you'll need to pray the RNGesus and hope to catch it soon.

Hey @Usara I hope you've finally caught Ouze Toadfish by now

If not, and I think others have suggested this, try fishing in other zones for a bit.

I was having my own fits with a fish in a different zone, and after hearing your troubles in Malabal Tor...I decided to go ahead and start a new bout of frustration there. Don't hate me...but I caught it in the first foul water hole I fished in.

So far in my fishing journey it seems like sometimes it's best to move on...and then come back.

But guess what, no, I still don't have it
I don't spend much time in Malabal Tor anymore, maybe 5-10 min each day. I am bit discouraged actually
I am 3 fishes away from the achiev : the one in Malabal Tor, one in Coldharbour and one in Reaper's March.

Oh well, I began the achiev in December 2014, stopped fishing for almost a full year, and went back to it this December.
Guess I will get the achiev for Christmas 2016

Finally !

I could not believe it, I yelled and ran everywhere in my department with my arm flailing like a crazy person x)

I caught it just now, in my *let's-fish-for-15 min-even-though-I-won't-catch-it* moment.

It took me more than 8500 Crawlers.
I made more than 600 Chubs, 48 Perfect Roes and 3 Kutas in Gunny Sacks.

Two fishes away from the Master Angler

Only one to go, the blue foul waters fish from Reaper's March. But I'm confident, can't be worse than the Ouze Toadfish
