Funny how it ended up being you, and you are such a late comer. I remember your first emp push when you were like first sergeant or Lt, right before I left AD as a colonel at the end of last year. In fact I left right around the time Moon Die came back and had emp on Thorn right after you. I joined EP full time the next cycle.

But i wasnt the highest, no no, guys in alacrity, decibel, and several other older guilds were in the high 30s by that point.

I always thought Mano or WRX would get there first. And of course Casuale, but they quit before I even saw you for the first time. Even Morinth from BDG/TKO was a Prefect when she quit almost 15 months ago.

Just goes to show how many AD actually quit, nothing against you, you earned it and well done, but you were literally the last person I thought would be the first. Even Herk, Sarenvog, and Bks were higher than you. The list of names is endless compared to the guy that came into the scene some six-seven months after launch out of nowhere.

That does beg the question, are you the fastest toon to grand overlord on NA? Crystalized, Aegon, Hektik, and the others all played since launch. You came much much later on that toon. Might be worth comparing some /played and "Cyrodiil recruit" checks with them, see who got there the fastest in terms of when the char started PvPing and so on.

@Rylana That first emp push on Chillrend dethorning Kami after she held it for months was one of the best moments I've ever had in any game (better than leading the raid that took world 12th Lich King hard mode).

Fireshot was a Legate (half way to PvP50 at 32 million earned) when I started playing. Had many of the Alacrity folks not quit playing they would have had it around the same time as Crystalized.

Oh i remember. The one I remember more than that was dethroning Hovaling two-three months prior with six guilds coordinating at different keeps. Arguably the last stand of No Mercy before they left the game. Their full core never really came back after that time. Yours was special for another reason, Kami at the time was the longest total reign of any emperor (90 days, with only one 3 hour dethrone in there a month prior), in fact she might still hold the overall "record" in terms of number of days a given char was emp, and her dethrone was the end of the Chillrend blue buff server, along with the reds that started homing there.

That just punctuates how late you came in. By the time you stormed onto the scene, the top 20 AD guys were already long gone. AD has always struggled like that. Its one of the reasons I still play AD from time to time, because solid players are sorely lacking there sometimes. But the newer crop is definitely a force.

Edit to add: that vid is of Perfectedarts dethrone 3-5 days after Kami's final depose. It was actually red (I remember being on my blue for the emp AP at ash) that dethroned Kami, yellow dethroned and ended the last gasp comeback later in the week for DC.

I think so too if I hadn't taken more than my fair share of month+ long breaks from the game/pvp. I probably have by far the least /played of any active PvPer that's been around a while. I think that's why I'm still around and so many of my friends aren't though.

Crystal was definitely the fastest. He didnt even really start pvping seriously until the very end of wabba 1 so around june i believe and then managed to get grand overlord in february so 8 months or so for him.

I think potentially earlier in the game NA had more players, but EU has had a lot more for a while now.

I think Casuale was a legate when he quit after what 4 months?

I'm pretty hardcore when it comes to grinding in many things and many games but "grinding" AP in this game is just so unenjoyable (and completely unrewarding in any aspect whatsoever) that I just can't convince myself to do it. I think I gained my last PvP rank on my Sorc 6 months ago and I'm still a million AP from the next one.

@Crown Thank you so much! I've always wanted to see these dyes (especially the violets, which are as amazing as I hoped, unlike Warlord Red). These colors here are seriously the nicest in the game, as they should be based on the time put in. And that Palatine white... I would kill for it!!!

I'm willing to bet a lot of people will look at that post and get excited to see these dyes in all of their glory. You should try to incorporate Grand Overlord Brass on somewhere like the helm JUST to show off though lol. Or an Overlord violet gemstone for the helm... your character is simply awesome.
