Zenimax, did I somehow receive someone elses ticket response?

I say that because the response I heard back from after reporting a player had NOTHING to do whatsoever with my initial query. To be honest, I didn't even respect a response. Just wanted to submit the report and move on with my life.
I sent them a picture of my death recap to get the names of the people involved, and I received a reply about what a death recap is. Did they even read my email?

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Team.

Death recap is new feature that has been implemented in Patch 1.1 - Craglorn to help players understand what caused the death of their character.
To access this death recap window once their character is dead, players just have to press [T]. From there, they will see what monster killed them, the amount of damage the character received, and the name of the skill or power that killed their character.

    I should have included the word "nerf" in my thread title cos otherwise nobody gives a crap about customer support until they fail you specifically.

    That's terrible - even worse the fact your account was wrongfully banned without reason.

    I don't expect customer service to be perfection or anything, but as a customer, I felt like they didn't even read my email (which was extremely short and to the point). I even stated this was in PVP, yet they start talking about death to monsters lolwtf.
    I have a VR16. I'm pretty sure by this point I know what a death recap is. @ZOS_GinaBruno I know you guys read the forums, but do you actually have a team reading our support emails, or robots that pick up on certain keywords and reply automatically?

    To be honest, i don't even understand why they have CS. They're utterly useless.

    I can't even be bothered to send in tickets anymore.

    If you get replies like that all of the time I can understand why it might seem like more effort than it's worth.

    I feel like they send an automated reply and once you reply to that then they copy paste something else to that reply haha like all the mods do too haha

    I never seen a reply from the Customer support yet. i used to report stuff like bots n major bugs. Now i dont. Not even on the PTS anymore. ESO is a great game. But i played a Free-to-play (heavy PT2) that had 4-6 days reply-time..

    You only get replies for certain kinds of tickets. Bug reports aren't one of them.

    Looks like a normal CS response to me, send too many requests for assistance and you'll stop receiving even those lol

    Not to be negative, but this is not atypical. But given then number of tickets they probably receive a personalized reply is not generally possible. Either a person or a program is likely trying to match keywords/topics to the messages sent.
