We have thieves guild coming in Q1 2016, and with it there are likely to be new armor sets added. If you were to look at the laundry list of armor sets currently in game, which ones you can get at v16, which ones have jewelry pieces, which ones aren't entirely
underwhelming, you could probably count them on one hand. The tragedy is that new sets keep being added, but imo, there is less diversity now then there was when the level cap was v14, and perhaps even when it was v12. Orphaning all of the old sets to make people want to buy the gear for the new update ... I understand the business decision behind it, but lament the result. If this is how
@Wrobel wants itemization to work, fine (no, not fine, but we'll have to deal) - but why can't you add in v16 versions of the old sets that are only available in the new zone/update content? Why can't you buff the sets so that we have
viable options for armor diversity?
It's been a running joke that the pvp armor sets that actually made it to the promised land of v16 were sets no one wanted to use anyway because of poor set bonuses, limited slots (which armor/weapon/jewelry slots are available to the set), and the fact that anything that used to have v16 jewelry components no longer come in v16 -
even though the set is crappy to begin with and is supposed to be v16.
If you go to the link below, you'll see every item set in the game. Really, take a look at the plethora of the light, medium, and heavy dropped sets, cry as you realize some of them still drop with traits like sturdy, then weep as you view the weapon sets that used to drop from pvp, vet dungeons, and trials and how you can't justify even considering using them because they aren't v16, and lastly - browse the crafted sets to see how many are never used by players because of set piece bonuses that make you scratch your head.

Wrobel, please don a red suit, get into a generous mood, and give us back gear variety. Everyone wants to stack damage because that's how the meta is; while this is difficult to change on its own and will take time, the counterweight to this is to buff the 5 piece bonuses from underused sets to be interesting and most importantly -
useful.
