    Ah, yes... Sometimes there comes a time, where players (both PvE and PvP), come together (finally) agreeing that there is more than "skill" they are supposed to have, once a new vendor just gets announced.

    It is not really different than having a new content including higher level cap, would you complain there aswell, that your efforts are for "nothing", because there are for instance better random drops all of a sudden than gold BOP before? That's how it works, sad I admit, but true. Live with it...

    Funny when peoples egos are shattered by reality. Where is your skill now? :tongue:

    Selling them for gold is in no way acceptable, PvP players have easy access to gold not just PvE players you don't have to do either PvE or PvP to know how to make gold. Adding a new currency obtainable via dungeons and trials would be the ONLY correct answer to this.

    I think, to make it fair, they should sell boxes where the Helmet / Shoulder has a randomly generated traits and armor class (H/M/L) so at least PVPer will face some RNG hoops instead of totally bypassing what PVEer need to do. (multiple Dun Run)


    Then to make those who are bad at RNG they should make the trait changeable with quest, and to make it fair, the item to change the quest should be obtained from both PVE and PVP vendor. For example Item A should drop from Dungeon boss or maybe found in pledge chest, whereby Item B should be purchasable with AP from PVP vendor. That way, at least both parties have something to look at.

    Its simple because PvP players have a TON of gold too making this sets even more accessible because they can buy one helmet with AP and another with gold, gold is an universal currency that every player has access to selling them this for gold is just giving them more than 1 way to buy them its really obvious.

    Lol, do they? I wish I had of known that because I'm usually sitting on around 1-5k gold. The only gold I make is by selling the rewards I earn to merchants. The traits are so poor I can barely sell it to players.
    I'm sure some PVPers have a lot of gold, but they are most likely the ones who do a little PVE on the side.

    Yeah shooting all and sundry with a resto staff IS LEECHING so just handle it. Also, make your own post. Different issue.

    Omg the selfishness in this thread is real.

    I dunno why people can't just see this as a good move to:
    1) Reduce rng for everyone. I've done 21 fekking vWGT runs, not a single Molag Kena mask, not even bad trait. The game desperately needed something like this.

    2) Reduce need for pure PvP'ers to PvE to get what they want.

    3) Help PvP'ers make some gold. Because contrary to what some of you think, PvP'ers are not rolling in gold. Competitive PvP requires expensive potions and most of the pure PvP'ers I know are constantly broke.

    I am not saying pure PvE'ers don't need some help. They absolutely do. Elite PvE'ers used to be way richer than PvP'ers thanks to being able to run vDSA much more efficiently than anyone else and getting tonnes of BoE endgame loot and super-premium vDSA weekly jewellery. All the BoP crap since Imp City and (especially) Orsinium has wrecked their income.

    But PLEASE stop with the selfish "If I can't get my toys, nobody else should get theirs!!!" It's immature and pathetic.

    Fyi I am not even a pure/hardcore PvP'er. I'd like to think I am but objectively, I am 50% trader, 25% PvE'er and 25% PvP'er.

    Even after MONTHS of dungeon grinding,
    I did not get any of the useful monster sets.

    I now wish I had done PVP instead because:
    In PVP you get useful endgame skills and AP with success.
    In PVE you get gold keys giving you mostly trash.

    If PVP people will be able to buy PvE monster helmets with APs,
    PVE people should be able to unlock PvP skills with gold keys.

    I have had (I have deconned some just because I really would never use them) ALL of the sets, but that is because I spent many many hours doing the dungeons.

    Same as how someone spends those same hours getting Barrier, Caltrops, Proxy Det.

    I'd wager all told the heads even take LONGER than the Alliance Skills, especially for correct weight and trait.

    Average players will get around 50k AP per day in pvp, a good part of this AP is needed to buy siege, repair kits etc.

    Assuming a monster helmet/shoulder piece cost will cost at least 1m AP, that translates to 20 days of constant pvp without buying siege, repair kits etc.

    Running a dungeon like CoH for 30 times (I farmed CoH until I got the medium infused head so I know what Im talking about) will only take 4-7 days for average players.

    Anyone that thinks that this system heavily favors pvp players is misjudging the amount of AP gained during an average day of pvp.

    On top of that, each week there will be a random monster set for sale. It might take a couple months before the pvp players can actually monster helmet/shoulder that they want.
