It's been mentioned multiple times on this thread already by me, Gina and a few others, they were not fired, the contracts expired. It's left to the discretion of the company to renew it. They were hired to aid in the console launch and they knew it would not be permanent.
Right before Christmas? Damn, that's cold.

No he's right we don't. We celebrate the feast of the old gods and dance naked around a big bonfire while the wives peel potatoes :P
Thought Ireland was quite heavily religious?
Least that's what the few Irish mates I've got have said.
Don't come to england, can't even have Christmas nativity plays in most of our schools....

Following the successful console launch of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited in June, we have a thriving console and PC online community. We adjusted customer support levels in mid-August by reducing staffing by approximately 50 people to reflect the game’s stability and the needs of our players. This is a normal practice. We have been diligently working with the IDA, and the employees affected by this decision since the summer. We are disappointed by the inaccuracies in the report of the Connacht Tribune.

Agreed. Used to live I'm seven kings I'm east London with my ex partner, the local shop parade (6 in total were all in islamic, even everything inside was written in islamic couldn't even tell what half the tins of food were...
Nearest shop to actually go and buy products with English writing on them was a petrol station half a mile or so away.
The language is called "arabic".
And your point is...? Are true brits (tm) somehow being prevented from setting up shop in your neighbourhood?
My point is you go into our capital city, and in some areas can't find anyone that speaks English or even shops in english.
Yeah, but why does it bother you? No offense, but you write as an immigrant yourself, and half illiterate to begin with. They, at least, might have their arabic labels right.
I'm born and bred english thanks, my spellings [snip] as I'm using a mobile phone, but if you feel the need to start throwing insulting comments at me then please start it in private messaging.
As to why it bothers me, and large majoriry, maybe the fact that I know quote a large number of people that have been laid off for immigrants that are willing to work for much less money, maybe it's because the only foreigners I've met have been extremely rude, many of them criminals, and some of them are extremely disgusting people.

There's quite a lot of disgusting English people that I've seen too. I never feel like there's nowhere I can't be in London. Not for one second.
You sound like the Daily Mail. This is also hardly on topic now, is it?

And that's why the staff got fired - because they had nothing to do because the game is so great that there are no bugs to complain about or submit tickets for. I can see that too now....

I really wonder what the profits are for ZoS... curious if there is a way to find all this out. I personally work for a Small time Cable company and last year we lost about 200 people across the board. So losing 300 employees isn't small regardless of how many people you employee.
Wow... and to think this same location suffered a huge number of layoffs earlier this year, now they're laying off almost everyone else. Considering they had that many people working their an CS was still bad, makes you wonder what it will be like now. Kind of scary when you think about it... and really makes you wonder what the player game retention actually is. I said that the million giveaway sounded like a last ditch desperate attempt to attract new players... perhaps there is more reality to that then we know.
