Buff Overload

I know people will call me a troll poster but it never works it's always making me shoot lightning like a sith lord and it wastes all my ultimate, and it needs more range and shouldn't be dodgeable so you can actually hit people with it instead of them dodging it all.

I also want a buff for Hardened Ward. And Meteor.

No buffs to Overload. Replace the skill entirely with something that will make magicka sorcs good DPS without the need to rely on it. Overload is crutch skill and every other class have better ultimates than sorcs.

Can't have Meteor buffed, as other classes get it too. Will have to give Crystal Frags a 50% chance of giving Major Blindness for 30 secs.

Oh ofc... I forgot. Yes you are right, Crystal Frags don't do as much dmg as Assassin's Will, it's less reliable to proc too, so there needs to be a 100% dmg increase to make it worthwhile... and undodge-able ofc.

Fix the bugs yes but overload is one of the most powerful ultimates in the game - you basically get 50 free instant cast crystal frags and 5 more skill slots.

Overload is the single best ultimate in the game.

In pvp you have a spammable (no other ultimate in the game is spammable) attack that crits for 15k against people with 30k spell resist.

In pve you have sorcs using it to hit 50k+ dps.

It also gives you a third skill bar, something no other class has

Buried somewhere in the skills and abilities forum I have a suggestion for an overload overhaul. The heavy attack is just pure trash and leaves you wide open while you are using it. The light attack is so clunky as well.

My suggestion was to take the two existing morphs and make them one morph.

Morph 1. Heavy attacks have greater range, light attacks restore magicka.

Morph 2: Buffs EXISTING weapon heavy and light attacks and adds X lightning damage to each attack.

Now the skill is valuable for stamina users and would be an awesome ability. turning bow shots into mini lightning bolts. 2h swords slashes into charged weapons. It would increase DPS a ton for a short time and wouldn't be so buggy.

So whenever you used a light or heavy attack it would look like this

light/Heavy attack physical damage + whatever your enchant is (if it procs + overload charged weapon damage.

I think they should make a molten armaments-like skill for sorcs to buff light attacks by 350%, and that would bring the needed balance to overload. It hits like a wet noodle now, only like 50k in pve. Maybe we should make the damage of overload scale with the amount of crying on the forums. A salt multiplier if you will.

Overload is a crutch. Atronach is good though, no doubt.

Overload is a crutch. Atronach is good though, no doubt.

To be perfectly honest though I don't really use Overload on mine that often. I prefer to save it for when it is truly vital. Although I often end up using Storm Atronach at times and wasting all the Ultimate stockpiled lol

Overload is the ultimate with highest damage number by far already. only who comes near is dragonknight standard and that is just a small fixed area vs a ranged shot like 20x?

Ranged is ranged though, and that has plenty of counters.
