they can make a thousand things to bring dragons to the game without having the lore broken... wait for it...
I am curious as to what you think would be "a thousand" lore-friendly ways to bring Dragons. Every time you say "wait for it" I assumed you were going to type up a list or something... Now I'm beginning to think you think it's an inevitable conclusion.. like ZOS WILL eventually put in dragons in a lore-friendly manner, and we all just have to wait and see.
The Dragons of the past were worshiped, and any of the Dragons you can name, you got the name from Skyrim, which means they have to live long enough to make it to the 4th era. Dragon hunts were done after Tiber Septim ascends the ruby throne. After that they disappear until the 4th Area during the events of Skyrim. Inserting a Dragon at any other point would cause all kinds of problems.
The closest you might be able to get to being Lore friendly would be to introduce Akavir, but since Bethesda themselves haven't yet shown what Akavir looks like, I doubt they'd allow ZOS to make it. Aside from the continent itself, it'd force them to also introduce all those other races and such, theres too many hoops to jump thru all so you can fight a Dragon.
The only other lore that might sync up would be the Dragon War itself that ended all Dragon rule, and while it might be easy to jump on and say "yeah! we should play in the memory of a nord(s) to killed a Dragon!" I'll remind you Magic is only just now (within the 2nd era of ESO) being introduced as open for eveyone to use. It didn't use to be that way, and so the lore of not being able to use magic during that time would clash with the lore of fighting Dragons. Etc etc...

Generally speaking though, having lots of Dragons awake or having them out in full view would require a huge lore re-write. There is also the question of what the "Dragons" of Akavir might really mean.RDMyers65b14_ESO wrote: »Although, this is the dragonbreak, all the dragons are dead or asleep at this time so there will be no dragons. but wait I read in the forums earlier, that the lore is not complete about this and there still may be some dragons awake in this era

I think your missing the fact that this was not a "friendly lore discussion" the OP was saying he wants dragons added and you all jumped down his throat with "lore this lore that"
Im not here to try to offer a solution... I just wanted some people that WANTED dragons to talk about it.. and some intruders came and are trying to just spoil the fun of the post...Some gamers are soooooooooo annoying with some stuff.. and its not even the lore the problem... its whats new... the change... that everyone here that dont want dragons are afraid of.. I just got my post spoiled.. but that's ok... keep it... it wont change the fact that its perfectly possible for a dragon dlc to come without any lore harm, if the creators want to

It's TES, DUH, of course I love the lore. And WOW, those guys know some stuff!) And in the end, it's all ridiculous, because the OP has the trump card - if ZOS wants to, they can figure it out. Well great, discussion closed.
The thing is, at the heart of TES, there has always been something new to experience with each release. Some little part of the story gets played out and you can see how the history occurred. We've seen dragons already, let's move on.
In an expansion setting 700 years after Skyrim maybe they will come up with new lore that allows Dragons and regular snow elves to be in the gameand we get to go to Akavir and Pyanodnea maybe even Yokuda, even get answers to what the continent of Aldmeris truly is/was

[snip] would they suddenly make such a setting? You do know ESO takes place almost a thousand years BEFORE Skyrim, right?
TX12001rwb17_ESO wrote: »Did you even play Skyrim at all? did you know there were 4 Elder Scrolls Game before Skyrim plus several spinoffs? take my advice L2L, dragons were never babies because all dragons are basically very minor Gods, the only difference between them and Recognized Deities such as Akatosh is the size of their soul, also Dragons are highly intelligent people (yeah they are a race of oddly shaped people, they are not mindless beasts) having a pet dragon would be like trying to turn an Argonian into a pet, if anything you would be there pet as they would consider someone without the Aedric soul of a dovah as beneath them.anyway, I want dragons... thats it =P big small babies... I dont care.. just give me my dragon dlc that do not break the lore [snip]

But for others who are taking the dragon request seriously;
In ES Lore, it would be similar to allowing LoTRO players select a wizard from the character creation screen. And having hundreds and thousands of wizards running around, questing, etc... Sure, ZOS can DO it.If you have no problems with that, then it shows (and yes it does) that you have never truly appreciated what wizards are in LoTRO or what Dragons are in the Elders Scrolls. You are missing out. Perhaps you neither have the time or the interest to find out. Many others however, have - which is why they don't want Dragons, or Dwemer, or XYZ in the game.
[snip]
Its a post about wanting dragons... Im not to blame if people that dont want them came here... [snip]
And you know what... you guys keep saying NO DRAGONS because you are truly afraid they will add them...
I really want a in game gun now! That would be good fun!

I say this every time someone says " I want dragons liek the ones in skyrim"
,,, here goes.
I'll only address the merit of whatever you request, if you request it right.
No "Dragons" have ever appeared in ANY Elder Scrolls Game as far as I know of.
THIS ↓ is a dragon.
06 (six) limbs, being 04 (four) legs, and 02 (two) wings
The thing those imbred drunkards of the nord race called dragons, the Dovah, are sentient Wyverns
Chickens with scales for feathers.
And to that question i say:
Unless Zenimax makes it a quest/DLC where you travel trough time,
No.
...funny, Emperor Varen Aquilarios had the same idea! And that's what started the whole mess, remember???Unboltedred wrote: »Okay, no dragons, but maybe we could still have a "dragonborn" playable class for us to use...

Just because others use the "dragon classification" you presented, it doesn't mean that everyone should use it. Every fantasy universe is unique and has every right to do things the different way.
Uniqueness of TES lore and universe is what it makes it special and so beloved. And if TES calls those creatures dragons then they are dragons.
Same with any other game. If they say that their dragons have 3 legs and 4 wings then that's how it is.
And just like they guy who created the "If flying mounts were ever added..." poll, you have to understand that there are going to be people will come onto the thread to rebuke the idea. Especially if the topic at hand is controversial.catalyst10e wrote: »Shadesofkin wrote: »Players who want dragons are usually players who don't care about the actual Lore of the game.
