Fix to shield stacking: Magicka regen should be ZERO when a shield is active

Great, now lets make them crittable, then unnerf them, restore softcaps and delete the champion system. Then shields will be fine.

Leave the shields as they are but let them be crit, you think sorc is spamming shields now wait till they can't do anything but spam them till oom. On my Magicka DK I can get decent sorc down, but a good or great sorc isn't happening I will oom before I can get through shields.

The shield only refresh itself when it is gone... done

Bear in mind that one of them does nothing for physical damage at all. Very rare for a player to do anything that's sponged by harness magika and ward. ...stop hating on sorcs. It's only 3 chops to kill us. If you really cannot do manage to charge in like hundreds have done to to me in the past week then there is something really wrong with you. Takes about 3 seconds to crush any sorc. Really not hard.

played sorc and non sorc PvP. This is a bad suggestion, (way to stealth nerf my magicka DK even more)

Sorcs are weak to stamina users and CC, but are strong vs other magicka classes because they can use light armor effectively due to shields / passives and therefore dampen magicka synergies nicely for them.

Stamina users did get the shield breaker set but lets be honest so few use it instead going for a ganking high crit loadout with hundings rage or briarheat if they have it. The current meta of Stamina users is making sorcs seem stronger than they are because people want to run a high crit stam 2 shot build rather than building anti sorc set ups. I do it myself as a NB, when i know the synergy between shield breaker, molag kena and skills like grim focus would allow me to drop a Sorcerer much more quickly and consistently than my current set up.

Harness stacking with hardened ward is the issue.

I only run hardened and healing on my sorc.

On my magica NB, a sorc with both those and harness is a real pain to kill. Without Ult I got no chance on my templar.

Stam users shouldn't have an issue. My stam Dk destroys them and when I'm on my sorc stam users give me a though time.

Just stop harness stacking with hardened and the issue will go.

Not that I think it's a huge issue either. Sorcs can't really kill me solo without an Ult when I'm on my temp, and I just get out of there when I feel like on my NB. On my Dk... Good luck with curse and endless fury. Anything else is going back at you.

Honestly think you should have to play pvp for a while on every class before being allowed to comment on certain aspect of a class. Sorc are fine. Especially of you're a Stam user. Just CC them.

Good idea OP. Stamina regen is already gone while blocking. Magicka regen is up always. This doesnt make sense.

I have no problem at all with Stamina DK's, hard to kill as they should be but not impossible. Run them out of stam and go in for the kill.

Shield stackers, doesn't matter if you run them out of stamina you still can't burst through their shields. How is that a thing? If you're out of stamina and lying on the ground getting ulti'd and jabbed to ****, do you not think you should die?

Ok so I'm a Magicka Templar so it would help a little if my sweeps applied the 140% bonus damage to shields but it doesn't and it will never get fixed either. Just like this stacking issue.

Sorc's are unbalanced. I don't think this can be denied.
Shields can't be critted, the only class that doesn't lose DPS for tankyness. Healing reduction spells are pointless against them. Massive physical resistance. And the highest RANGED DPS. All scaling from the same resource.

Yeop healing reduction should affect shields and spell pen should be the amount of damage that goes through them. Oh and scale off hp

Magicka regen at zero when shields are up won't be any harder for you to adjust to than it was for stam users to adjust to not blocking. You just have to learn the bosses movements and pop a shield right before they hit you. Just like stam users have to do with blocking. And you can weave light attacks in when your not being hit to gain back magicka.

Maybe your movement speed should be reduced as well like it is for stam users who block.

And now lets imagine that. Someone running armor set with that huge shield for up to 12 players, champion system passives for resurrection, or you walk by a guy who casts a healing ward, DK that casts his shield - also on you. Yeah, lets nerf everything and fight with only fists!
Make a magicka sorc char, level it to v16 and go to pvp with light armor without shield. You are not gonna last even 5 minutes. Shield is the only thing that makes sorc competitive in pvp. Its not shields and its not a sorc being overpowered. Its templars and magicka DKs being underpowered. Dont nerf, BUFF! I am really tired of these "nerf every single skill on sorc" threads..

The average Magicka player (assuming Sorcerer) probably has 7k - 8k shields. 10k+ if they have Bound Aegis + Magelight + Undaunted + Mono-stat Magicka or Dual-Stat Magicka food. Once a person puts pressure on you, you're forced to go completely defensive since they hit so hard, you're spamming Hardened Ward and probably Healing Ward.

Then you have lava whip... 6k. Absolute joke.
