Decided to try my hand at MA again today, after patch and boy let me tell you. The new slow from the spitters on the third stage are insanely strong. A bit too strong if you ask me. The amount of slow, 60-70% by my guess, coupled with the rate at which you're constantly being slowed is atrocious. Running shuffle to try and counter it helped only slightly, and I believe they might also be passively draining stamina. Haven't tested yet, but it seemed like it at the time.

Anyone else feel as I do?

    Haven't tried it since the change went in, but the fact that Drome of Toxic Shock is basically a re-ordered phrasing of Toxic Shock (Syn)Drome also gives me pause.

    I ran it a few times today (trying for no death run so constanly restarting) and i found the new spit to be way more manageable than the old pull. The biggest difference probably is, that you dont get instantly killed if you het spit on with a few mobs/ the boss hitting you, but instead have a chance to fight back.
    It still is a threat however and still means it is a high priority to take out the stranglers before they are going to attack you, thus keeping the gameplay largely the same.

    That said i actually only got spit on once in all my 3-4 runs so far, and that was due to a strangler i havent noticed because of the round change making them "hide". Quickly killing that strangler mad the round still very possible, whereas the old pull would have 100% killed me in that situation.

    I guess I'm going to have to change my build up to include a bow, because right now I'm running DW/2h and having to run around the map while constantly at a crawl is not working.

    I guess I'm going to have to change my build up to include a bow, because right now I'm running DW/2h and having to run around the map while constantly at a crawl is not working.

    Bow might not be the worst idea, a lot of the stam players I talked to swear by it.

    Not that I recommend it unless you've got the regen to make up for it, but don't forget Purge will speed you right back up.

    I'm curious to try the new fight myself, that slingshot and sudden return was causing me no end of grief whenever I'd mess up for even a second.

    I rarely got pulled in the old version because I have a mental timer that tells me when one is about to spawn (plus obvious spawn points). The moment you see these portals open you should be positioning and preparing yourself to kill them the moment they pop out. I don't even think I was hit by one to notice the snare on my clear last night. Much like the Spider Daedra of round 6, these things are #1 kill priority.

    This has a HUGE cost on stamina, plus if immediately falls off with damage so using it with my caltrops or other AOE will not work.

    I might actually try flying blade. I never thought I'd have to kill the spitters first if at all, but it seems like I do.

    I did it yesterday with my stamsorc and hadn't any problems with the new stranglers. They aren't buggy and die fast due to steeltornado...i'll try on magicka-templar today, maybe they are more dangerous on a magicka-build :)

    PS: I got used to snares since i spent a lot of time in round 6 XD
