Hey guys im looking to make a new character. I want to go melee with heavy armor (a break from my cloth sorc) I had a DK to 27 but they felt a bit..slow at killing things, any recommendations?

DK's can be some of the games best DPS in PvE (too many DOT's for PvP) but most are Magicka based. Are you magic or stam?

NB is best stam user in my book although i do my dk vet 8 orc stam dk is growing on me

I am looking for a magic knight type, i even wanted to try it on my sorc but they dont have an over all healing skill.

i mostly RP and pve i dont do dungeons offten or anything. usually solo due to going afk a lot.

Go with Sorc, as most (if not all) of the magic heavy-armor sets near endgame deal with Shock, and Sorcs are the class that focuses on this element. You can also use a Restoration Staff on your back bar to use those heals, as healing ward is OP.

I'm unsure of how to run a Sorc with heavy due to not trying it myself, but take a look at the builds Deltia has here:

Those are only medium/light, but give some idea of the different skills useful for Sorcs. You can also try looking on google for builds that match your style, but overall you should play around with what you think you like.

If you really want a Heavy Armor look to role play, get chest and legs heavy with all the rest of the pieces Medium Armor. The 5 piece passive (and the rest of them actually) is too good to pass if you want to do damage.

Yea, though the issue is most builds are for pvp or group dungeons. two things i do not do thanks to my poor health IRL. so i tend to RP and just generally kill things though having a half functioning build would still help. (wish they had a wardrobe system to let me put armor on for appearance >> would solve a lot of things lol.

If you really want to do heavy armour, I would recommend Templar - as I find (in my experience) they make the better tanks. But you can also go Sorc or NB. In the end, it's all about how you want to play - and also if you want to focus on magicka or stamina

(I have a heavy armour Sorc, so I know it can work - the same with NB.)

Disguises! I have taken to always wearing them, especially ones that are a different armor type from what I'm wearing. There are a few Heavy-Armor ones, or you could just do with the Crown Store costumes.

i would but UGH i like a mix of armors that fit my character. sadly they dont offer that XD that and the colors are a bit meh.

Yerah, if you go one-handed and shield, you will feel a bit slow at killing things since heavy armor won't give you the stamina to go all out on the attacks.
Two-handed is a really grerat mix at the moment, alternate heavy attacks with brawler and wrecking blow for the win...

Personally I have both a DK and a templar in plate mail, and I enjoy either. The templar more though, it feels all "paladin"-ish, like back in the D&D days

But experiment around, find what feels right for -you-!

As a khajit though you could make good use of crit surge and vigor to heal yourself up with a decent crit build - something along the lines of my dangerzone build but drop the molag kena portion and do 1hs+2hander. Could throw rally in there too for extra healing then if you want.

still no luck, tried a few builds but they where a flop.

the ones recommended here, sadly i ended up dieing rather quickly. perhaps im not quick enough to be able to play this type of character. i usually stick range but i love a lot of the heady armor.

honestly its to the point i might make a templar. s/b and 2h but are they still viable in pve i know they have been nerfed to all hell.

I have a magicka nightblade with heavy armor. I run destro and resto staff though. They are a hard class to play.

yea, i love nb but they are just not my style. im so use to my cloth armor destro/ restro sorc that trying to find a knight type class is a pain in the butt.
