Alternatively: every ability could simply scale off whatever your highest resource is.
Even more alternatively: have a separate resource for Block/Dodge/Bash/Sprint, which would then free up Stamina and Magicka to be 100% equalized in terms of how much damage they do and how fast they regenerate.

Bring all aoe damages distances in line with eachother. Drop the execute that steel tornado has. Reduce the AOE damage at max distance but increase closer to the caster you get. And drop AOE cap.
So, let's take out all AoE's in the game besides sap essence and make them ridiculously high ultimates?
Next.

Terrible idea. You people need to think logically about all the AoE's. They are balanced. How so? Steel tornado is an execute. Impulse is a dot (pulsar destroys 10% hp), and sap essence heals.

Actually if I had my way I'd put cooldowns on EVERY SINGLE ABILITY in the game. That way there is no definitively "best" AOE, because the more powerful ones (does massive damage, has built-in crowd control, etc) would be on a longer cooldown.
And yes... **** Wrecking Blow. @Vangy don't defend overpowered garbage.
Also, clearing trash mobs is irrelevant. The game needs to be exclusively balanced around PVP. Period.
Devs can easily change the pacing of the dungeons/trials so that you're generally back up to 300 Ultimate by the time you need those big AOEs.
When zos gives me more choices for stamina such as damage shields, a teleport etc. Then we can talk about Wb being overpowered. Right now as it is, a stamina class has garbage sustain, and are some of the weakest dps in pve. The ONLY good thing about stamina now is arguably the insane burst damage they have (and stealth kills help). Keep calling for nerfs and there won't be any more stam players around. Personally I've already levelled a nb/Templar and sorc up to v1 over the past few weeks. Just waiting on zos to remove vr ranks and good bye my dk. I'm hopping over onto the sorc train spamming 10k damage shields and whoop whooping teleporting around cyro. I guarantee the moment vr ranks are removed, cyro is going to be around 50% sorcs and the other 50% nb gankers. Gg eso.

Ummm... the universe that encompasses properly balanced games like Guild Wars 2 and Destiny and dozens of other successful self-sustaining games that will still be around long after ESO is left in the dust... that universe.

Because claiming the sky is falling if you dont get the changes you want is a contribution to the discussion of balance? Yeah okay buddy.

Works in theory... until a year later and they're putting pseudo-cooldowns on dodge roll and bolt escape, and people were asking for the same treatment to be done to Shadow Cloak.
I'm in favor of bringing back soft caps instead of cooldowns. Soft caps functioned as a type of cooldown by making keeping resource regen under control.
#bringbacksoftcaps
Softcaps back, AoE caps gone. That is all...
