It Would Be Cool to Trade Stolen Items. Right?

I love the Justice System; it is one of my favorite aspects of the game. I'm getting rich from fencing my daily quota (140 items), and finding some very rare items to sell in Guild Stores as well. All is well in the thieving department, except one thing... everything I steal is bound to me. :s

I'm a collector, and that is bad for ESO. Sure, items stack, but with so many interesting items (items my character would carry if Tamriel was RL), having the bagspace for them all is impossible. And as a Khajiit who has spent a life in the shadows of the underworld, it is imperative I keep my Claw Sharpeners, Skooma Pipe, Silk Sugar Dauber, Skooma Refinement Tools, and an abundant supply of Grandma Singa's Hairball Remedy. Not to mention the countless Good Luck Charms and Red Squirrel Paws. A cat can never have enough luck. So, what are my options? Sell them to a vendor, that is my only option, other than filling my inventory.

@daemonios posted a great forum topic last May about this problem and you can read it here: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/169854/stolen-items-list-suggestion

What I would love to see in game is an option to trade these items with (or sell to) other players. Is there any reason why stolen items must be bound to the thief? There are some players who just don't have the skill or the time to sneak around and collect these items, but would still like to own a Creepy Monkey Puppet. Give the thieving players a chance to provide those Creepy Monkey Puppets to those who are less fortunate. Who wants a Dremora Ragamuffin Doll?

But it wouldn't stop there. I would love to see some of these items, at least the more rare items, have some sort of use. Even if it is just cosmetic. For instance, let me brandish my Baandari Trading Post Parasol. Or, who's names are written in the Little Black Journal? I can't even read it! And it would be so awesome to see my Cat-Man Ventriloquist Puppet on my Khajiiti paws.

With the Thieves Guild DLC right around the corner, consider the notion to allow players to trade stolen items. Thanks.

Most of my characters would not be willing to handle stolen goods.
The naughty one that would is perfectly capable of stealing for his self.
I'm not sure he would be willing to purchase anything unless it was of benefit.

Yet, I am the kind of person who enjoys collecting trinkets as well, though.
I'm just not sure that there is any worth to making the stolen goods tradable.
They serve only as collectables. They have no function. They are just trophies.
As such, it makes sense to me that the player has to find and earn them alone.

Of course, with the Thieves Guild, perhaps there will be something else for them.
Maybe you will eventually be able to auction them on a Black Market. Who knows?

I'd like to see trading items PERIOD in the Guild stores. It would be nice to, for example, put up a stack of Tripots with the 'price' being a stack of Columbine, or one piece of the Psijic Ambrosia Recipe with the 'price' of a different one. Yes, you CAN trade with people directly if you hunt them down in chat first, and some things you can use the intermediary of gold to exchange (sell item 1, use the gold to buy item 2), but it would make things like commissioning crafted sets so, so much easier to have that built in...

But yes, if stolen items aren't going to have any use except to sell, then we should be able to buy and sell them to other people.

I guess they could just make it so when you launder them, you can also un-bind them for an additional cost? That way it'd be pricey, but if you really want that item it'd be worth it.
I have departed into the great unknown that is outside the game and the forums, and wish you well in your Tamriel adventures!
