I think I might appraoch 200 vWGT runs now and I am still without SPC belt (okay, might as well farm the first boss) and no proper traits on chest + legs.

meanwhile I have enough kena heads to start deconstructing divine and infused ones (after keeping 2-3 to be safe in case several chars want to wear it...)

at least tower is done quicker than prison...

We're doing quite quick prison runs now, but without doubt is tower quicker.

I agree 100 % Mashinate, ZoS need to fix their drop rates DRASTICALLY or add a better reward system.

ZoS removed 2 of my post's on this thread, what happened to freedom of speach ?? Thought Zenimaxxx was American but i guess they dont believe in their own constitution.

Bet they'll remove this one as well because they prefer the forums to be a imaginary place for fairies and casuals who discuss how they'll look in their new costumes, If you cant handle hearing what your player base have to say you shouldn't have a forum.

Let me save you some disappointment. It hardly even works anyways OP. It almost never procs. It seems like the 10% on crit is more 2 or 3%.

Where did you test it ?

I've seen one person do rather high dps as DK dps with Scathing Set, and he probably didn't even have any decent traits cause ZoS reward systems are out of date since forever.

The Constitution and Freedom of Speech are 100% not applicable in a situation like this. The first amendment applies to Government actors, not private actors. They can regulate their forums in any way they see fit. Not saying it's right, but I dont the think Supreme Court will be taking your arguments any time soon...

Guys, the difference between this and crafted gear is so tiny it's not even worth to waste a thought about farming it...and now sshht before Zenimax will get that idea and will scale down the quality of crafting sets in compare to drop sets.

I decided to just play this game for achievements in the first line and maybe a lucky, but unexpected drop here and there and what should I say...I am pretty happy with that.

On Topic:

Zenimax should at least defuse the fourfold RNG in this game right now, it's an awful system.

-RNG on drop at all
-RNG on drop for the right set
-RNG on drop for the right set piece
-RNG on drop for the right trait
-and maybe even RNG on drop for the right lvl (Wrothgar daily quests...)

I destroyed maybe a dozen IC instance tank pieces - some of them with perfect traits - in front of our tank, who gets the light armor drops I might need. In general I just analyse every V16 drop (even from the set I want) if it has not the right trait. It's not just of protest, it's just for still having not enough bank space to store all the mediocre stuff.

As they have steadily been nerfing crafters since the Console release I can only say this kind of thing amuses me. This why they have been nerfing us, to make this mechanism more popular.

I don't really care myself. Th benefits of the various dropped sets are as meh as most of the crafted sets. I don't like the trend though.

Oh yea OP? I have ran vcoh 150+ times in the past two weeks, not a single helm. I have been doing dailies for two months now on two characters trying to get shoulders for neirienth.

Never seen them drop. I have 29 spawn of mephalas though!!!!! Those mephalas are the ONLY shoulders to drop for me in two months...... so yea.... ZoS needs to do something about this horrible RNG BS coupled with BoP crap. Enough is enough. Are you guys even thinking about helping us out here @ZOS_GinaBruno ?

Now if only the development team would listen.

You can add a token system for guaranteed gear and still provide dropped loot as an incentive, I promise.

I tested it on mobs and a player. I could pull 10 mobs and have 0 procs. This is on a magicka DK. It literally never proc'd on the person. I was testing to see if DoTs proc'd it. That DK who did great dmg with it probably would have did better with another set.

I completely agree but it is their great strategy to get content for every player base :

- hardcore players will farm the dungeons like hell to get their top gear so there is bad RNG to make them busy.
- casual players who will probably go in the dungeon once anyway will get a crafted set cool looking with crown store motifs !

If u want you can go test your dps skills on mamoths or giants and calculate via the values the dmg each skill does with each setup. U dont necessarily have to grind the gear if u know basic maths

If this is how you test TBS vs Julianos vs Scathing, then I honestly feel bad for you
Also, if you know basic math you should know that there is certain factors that has to be accounted for each setup,.

No one cares about a dps tests on a oneshot mammoth or bro math. If Scathing Mage is better or worse than TBS or whatever for a build, is kinda beside the point. Really wish people would stay on topic, all this blah is so derailing.

Yours and everyone's experience with the drop rate + rng when running vICP? Happy or unhappy? Woking as indented? Can it be made better? That's what's relevant. Some guys been no-life farming that dungeon for months and still dont have a full set, I think that's pretty outrageous.

The only benefit of the grind is 7 slots but only 5 pieces for a full set. if you only use 1 piece monster helm it makes the grind far more forgiving as you have 2 options for that last piece to complete the set.

The reason i think its so bad in IC is the armor sets have no jewlery or weapons. had you been able to get scathing mage jewlery you could use it and complete the will power set with weapons, then for your missing slots craft torugs or w/e you wanted to combine it with.

Add on top BOP, Low Drop rates, Poor traits. And they have exponentially upped their grind requirements by limiting set item options.

Also i had a look at the scathing mage items i got on my first run. I'm sorry to say i got infused shoulders and divine gloves, (but only at vet 1 so please dont hate). The fact that there is this huge disparity caused by RNG, that i can get perfect set item on run 1 and someone might never get it emphasises the need to expand the option and ways these set items can be earned.

Go to a mamoth hit your main abilities to get a crit and non crit and the calculate its avg dmg based on crit modifiers. 7 second fights are obviously no dps-test

Im doing the dungeon with my friends via skype and honestly its the most fun im having. So yeah im happy. A token system would be nice tho but im ok as it is

Here is an idea... give players a REWARD BOX drop, and in that box they can choose which item they want. At least it gives many more options than relying solely on a singular drop. Have the items inside the box RNG, which would still offer replayability but also more opportunities to get what you need.
