Physical and Spell Resistance.

Exactly how do these numbers reflect in the game. IE : if my wrecking blow does 15k, and the player I am attacking has 15k physical resistance, how do the numbers play out. Does he resist the entire 15k damage ( I know he doesn't ) but, how much does it block, is there a percentage?

It's something like 660 armor/resist = 1% dmg reduction.

Additionally the damage reduction you can get from armour / spell resist can't be higher than 50% no matter how much armour bonuses you stack.

If you do exactly 15k damage with no armor penetration and the enemy has 15k physical resistance exactly with no other additional damage mitigations its like this. 15k=15000/662=22.65, so 22.65% total mitigation. So you do 15k damage which would be like this: 15000*0.7735=11602.5 damage.
