Can we have a Raid Assistant please?

I know this has been asked for before but after a commander's meeting of the Wabbajack guild, we were talking about it again.

Can we please, please, PLEASE have a raid assistant role? It would make raiding so much easier.

Usually in WJ or War Council raids we have our leader who is telling us where to go and what to do and then we usually have a back-up who helps with getting people on TS and into the group BUT this would be so much easier if we had a Raid Assistant/Lieutenant. Someone who can also invite to the group and take over if the leader goes down. This would leave the leader with his hands free to just lead!

Anyone agree?

Supporting Nermy in this as it's pretty much one of the biggest gripes for our raids in the guild.

When you're leading a group you don't have time to also focus on invites etc. so an option to flag others in the raid with the right to invite/dismiss/ping would be useful. This would also help as a tool for regrouping if a leader goes down in combat.

The issue is (at least on our side) ZOS consolidated everything for group management and leadership into one person. Which doesn't work out well when you have raids of 16+ and want the person leading to be the one indicated by the big shiny crown marker. I hate to compare MMO's but sadly these are features present in almost every other game because managing larger groups becomes a lot for a single person.

We could invest our time and have our coding minions work on some guild/alliance based add-ons but the API doesn't fully support what we're looking for and the features being available for others to use and supported by ZOS would be a better outcome for most.

So use auto inviter and just delegate someone to recruit people get them in TS and then said person can just whisper them the invite code...... Wasn't a thought?

Yes, we could do that and a hundred other things. You guys all work for ZoS or something? You all seem to be helping them avoid giving us a raid tool that most MMOs have... I have no problem with that, I just thought there would be more support for it as something useful, I must have been sorely mistaken...

My pvp guild would love this feature cause we would break into a small group for scouting. I'm so my leader would love to have someone else to the inviting and kicking out group members.

Auto-invite add-ons can bug. Consoles don't have access to add-ons. And more functionality beyond just invites would be nice.

My preference is for an in-game group function that lets Crown designate a Junior Crown ahead of time who can invite/kick, and to whom the Crown will automatically pass if the raid leader gets kicked.

Exactly what I was thinking of.

It can be so frustrating when the leader goes afk and there's no one who can invite, or help lead the group for a few minutes. Can't be that hard to include. @ZOS_BrianWheeler

Just make a toggle setting (chosen by group lead) where anyone in group can invite someone to group. Would be the easiest fix and ZOS likes easy fixes.

The one thing this game really needs is a tool to help people setting up bigger groups more easily.

TS and partitioning your group work well.
You could set other leadership tasks to give hopeful leaders a chance to show you their worth.

Sadly I don't think ZOS should divert resources to code this (unless its console who need more UI TLC )

I doubt there'd be 2 crowns on the UI, somebody in the party would have the same permissions as the group leader. If the group leader were to die, then perhaps the secondary group leader would have a crown pop up.

That would be brilliant. I find that if I'm leading and die and the rest of the raid is still fighting it can become a headless chicken raid...

Well how about you just assign somekne to being backip crown and when you die you just pass crown to that person?

This would be great, particularly if crown diverted to that person when crown crashes. And I say when, because with the lag that this game has, it's going to happen.
