CCD them back! When i fight anyone i try to CC them the moment the cooldown is up to get my burst out. Petrify is the best cc in the game keep that on them as much as possible.

Bets CC in the game is Fear. Petrify is the same as agony but NBs rarely use it because they are so spoiled. They even thing that Agony should be changed to something more useful.

Nope petrify is not the same as agony. It's way better.

Fossilize morph you have to break free and dodgeroll out of = Costing more stamina to get rid of than fear/agony. If a DK constantly apply it when CC immunity is down he can drain your stam if you are not careful or chug pots. And when you are OOS, you eat that take flight. Also it gives you 5% of your maximum stamina back.

Almost noone uses agony over fear, and there's a reason for that. While I see petrifying DK's everywhere (both stam and magicka)

Not saying DK's are OP or anything. Just facts. This isn't 1.6 where you could permaroll to infinity and beyond. Petrify is alot stronger this patch :)

First I compared petrify with agony and not the morphs. The skills has the same logic. Disorient your opponent so you can bypass permablockers. Fossilize is a good one with the root but if your target has CC immunity then the root doesn't work. And i still need to slot talons if I want to root.

My point was that if fear is removed NBs will switch to agony and then people will start to complain about agony combos. Of course agony will never be as powerful as fear because it is a disorient and breaks on damage.

You said that nobody use agony over fear but you see petrify very often. I can assure you that if DKs had fear you want see petrify either.
    Because I can!

How much stamina does it take to break Mass Hysteria / Fear? Sometimes I have over half of my stamina pool full (roughly 7.5/15k) and I just run away from the fight while getting stabbed in the back repeatedly and cannot break the CC.

NB is the most broken class in the game on the OP side. Attacks not breaking this CC is insane.

I am now running 5H just to mitigate the NB stealth attacks as a Magicka DK. If I happen to not have a hard CC like Fossilize slotted I've run into situations where I cannot kill a NB because he's constantly stealthing and running mid fight. Yesterday in a cave exactly this happened. I ran into two players, one of them was an NB. The first died pretty fast (Prox Det/Bat Swarm/Deep Breath/Flame Lash) then the NB ran around stealthing and surprise attacking me for 10 minutes before giving up and leaving. I was even popping detect pots but he was running around a huge pillar breaking line of site the whole time and stealthing.

In duels I would have to respec and change morphs just to fight an NB, otherwise no chance.

I just want to point out that two players fought you, you killed one easily and the other tried for 10 mins to kill you but in the end gave up. Call me crazy but its hard to get "NB is OP" from that account.

Well you never said that about the morphs. Who runs skills without morphing it? Both of agonys morphs is pathetic where fossilze is not. And I would love petrify on Ny nb; reasons:

Ranged ( so is agony but it doesn't require break free + dodgeroll) so it's good vs magicka sorcs who like to camp in their mines without having to jump right into their mines to fear them.

And the nr 1 reason, to run all stambuild running around in cyro these days out of stam faster.

And correct, Ppl will always complain about stuff. ^^

Nerf/remove something, and they will find something Else to whine about .

You realize that Immobilize does not have any immunity, other than special abilities that grant it (like forward momentum), right? Being immune to disabling effects does not make you immune to immobilize or snare. That is what makes immobilize so strong, and such an effective method of draining stamina. You can constantly reapply it, forcing a dodge roll or forcing them to take whatever you're going to dish during the duration of it.

Please read what I stated. If somebody has CC immunity you cannot fossilize him so you cannot root him too. The skill works like that. First you disorient the target then when the target break free it is rooted. I know that roots do not have immunity and I can spam them. But not fossilize because the root comes after the break free.

Well sure... but that's why you have talons on your bar, right?

    Then you're a bad/ill-equipped player.

If I didn't have an anti-Nightblade move on my bar they would be annoying to me as well, but they're actually the easiest class to kill once you counter their cloak. They're not OP, you just don't like adjusting your build in order to combat annoying play styles.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. Could you specify your anti-nightblade moves (Magicka DK)? I'm eager to learn to be as good as you.

Reactive armor + Mageligt = 90% of NB dead

Nobody runs Magelight because of the mana penalty. Are you suggesting that I wear the Reactive Armor Set on a Magicka DK? I can take an ambush from a NB out of stealth, that wasn't the issue, and the detection on Magelight is garbage.

The fact that Fear isn't broken through damage is asinine.

That's the thing... You either need to be tanky enough to eat CC, or you need enough stamina sustain to break free. This is true for *ANY* class! My glass cannon NB is toast if I eat a full duration CC from just about any opponent if they have some damage. You make tradeoffs and live with them.

Fossilize breaks CC once you damage the enemy. Smart resource management in certain situations calls for staying fossilized and letting your enemy break you free with damage allowing the stunned to save stamina.

How many seconds do you run while feared if you have no stamina to break free? That's how many seconds you get beat up on for not having enough stamina to break free. Please don't mention the Elusive passive, it's nearly worthless.

So far all responses to NB's being OP have been the painfully obvious and penalizing options we all know of. Players shouldn't have to shape their build to mitigate one class. I've already switched to heavy armor and thereby sacrificed much. Now I should also choose Magelight and lose more magicka, and better yet wear Reactive armor that has stamina bonuses for your Magicka build. gtfoh
