Xbox One - 11/17 patch size 9gig

Just sharing what just popped up on my Xbox one.....

I don't recall the PC update size but i can see a lot of complaints (as usual)

Either way just sharing if ppl are curious...I'm sure ZOS will post this in patch notes as well but it lets PS4 folks know what to expect.

this download is painfully slow....maybe its the new xbox one experience or maybe its ZOS servers but after 30 mins of downloading, I'm only at 5%..

I now have a 100Mbs connection so this is taking longer than it should OR my xbox one isn't showing the correct %.

Thanks for the info. From the maintenance starting @ 4:00, about how long did it take for the D/L to become available?

4am EST to approx 10:30am EST give or take that is 6+ hours

I'm guessing you don't actually have 100Mbs internet speed? That's just the connection speed ability from your router to other devices that are connected... If you pay for 50Mbs from your provider... i would check to make sure you're getting that.
While you're router COULD be connected and telling you that you can transmit 100Mbs.... the other side of your router (internet service provider side) could be slow or non existent.... i would do a speed test with your phone or your computer. If that doesn't connect or give you a speed close to what you're paying for....reset your router (or unplug it for about a minute and plug it back in). If none of that works... check with your service provider for any problems they might be having.

It downloads wierdly..

It goes to like say 8% then sticks for ages, then jumps to 28%, creeps up a few % then sticks, jumps, creeps, sticks.

I have 5mb dl (no clue how there's no bb here) and I'm at 21% after about 45 minutes..

I'm assuming that @NewBlacksmurf meant that's what's being paid for. I pay for 300Mbs internet and can say pretty confidently that it hasn't really helped speeds when it comes to any game updates or buying digital games. Ultimately, we are at the mercy of the server-side connection too.

I'm assuming that @NewBlacksmurf meant that's what's being paid for. I pay for 300Mbs internet and can say pretty confidently that it hasn't really helped speeds when it comes to any game updates or buying digital games. Ultimately, we are at the mercy of the server-side connection too.

ha i guess that speed just sounds crazy to me... i can only get a max of 60Mbs where i'm from.... and i actually only pay for 30. I never have problems downloading/playing games or watching netflix, hulu, etc. at the same time.

There are a few issues with the new dashboard. They need to fix download issues that occasionally get slow. It took me 45 minutes to sync data for Fallout 4 last night. It usually takes just a few seconds. There is also an issue with syncing external hard drives. For some reason it has to reattach the disk now every time you start up or restart. Hopefully it will all get fixed soon.

its just slow....I think the last patch was like this.

the % of the update is very inaccurate. It will jump from 6% to 20%...and so on

yes...this exactly.....I blame Xbox One and not ZOS on this tho ZOS may contribute...all xbox one updates and painfully slow.

I did it half hour as soon as the update came out. Must be some queues now for it. Pretty cool area tbh. One hard public boss. Poachers camp. Tons of adds that chop you down. In the arena now straight to vet because sorc, round 5 and no deaths. No seeing what all the fuss is about....yet.

well now I'm at 70%...since others are sharing it took 20 mins or so at 100Mbs I assume its an isolated issue...maybe even an ISP issue or modem/router complication

edit....so I'm not bumping

its now 84% shown on the dashboard and under the queue in my games and apps but if I launch the game...the updating progress shows 74%

It's fantastic otherwise for streaming, etc.; especially in a multiple user house; but it's really not helped when it comes to updates or digital purchases through xbox. I have to assume that's all on their side. Even purchases on GOG are pretty blazing fast.

It's not totally broken by any means, but for some reason the change from the 30Mbs plan to the 300 Mbs plan has been really negligible when it comes to this specific thing.

just went to orsinium. saw about 30 people in less then a minute. then nop wont ruin my experiance by having 18 people atking the same mob. will go there next week when the hype is less big

So, according to the patch notes, I have to download the DLC even though I have no intention of purchasing it (in the near future, if at all), or upgrading to a paid ESO account.

I dont like that at all.
Being forced to d/l something I will probably never use doesnt sit well with me.

The games been boring me lately, and Ive been looking for a reason to move on to something else.
I think this may be it.

you're downloading it all because its a server based game...but don't forget there is a large base game change.

Its not DLC in context to an add-on to a console game.
Its DLC like how Destiny adds (expansions) so I think ZOS should start using the term expansion
