Updated PvP Wardrobe

OK, so, it takes me a LONG time to get new gear, and I still have my VR14 gear for all my VR16s, which was mostly mediocre before IC dropped. I am going to try to focus on upgrading, and since it will take a while, I was wondering which sets to go for.

I thought I would start with my magicka Sorc first, who goes with the class-emphasis on lightning/storm weapons and spells. I know there were lots of things people talked about from IC and Orsinium, like Overwhelming Surge and Law of Julianos, but I wonder which sets/combos are actually working out on live. Links to builds/build discussions or quick impressions are very welcome. Just want to make sure I make a wise investment. Thanks!

Ok, so a good place to start is looking at this thread on TF started by Dymence.... the info contained in there is fantastic:

Personally.... I'd say there is a very obvious foundation to a build now... and thats 5 piece Julianos, 3 piece willpower jewellery, and a 2 piece monster set. Then any weapon you like.

The sets that drop in places like prison/tower are basically superseded already.... you can craft Julianos in any trait you like (And you like all divines now with either the thief or shadow stone! lol) and any style.

So actually the steup is very easy to get, and not a futile exercise in RNG particularly..... for PvE Nerien'eth is a great monster set for a DPS magicka sorc. For PvP Engien guardian is very strong... or just add Magnus gift helm/shoulders/weapon for a little more sustain if you don't want to farm monster helms.

Orrrr... for PvP stuff take a look at Hexys setup on TF.... I've tried something similar and its very good.
