DW Shields should be a thing.

With the IC changes to stamina regen, this question may actually be slightly balanced.

My idea is that as we can hold swords with one in each hand, surely there could be put the ability to hold two shields with one in each hand? This way we could have tanks that have almost 0 offensive output, but able to block absolutely everything. There would also be the possibility for large 2h shields like the image below:

Obviously there would be the opportunity to attack with the shields through shield bashing, attcks like in the above image etc, but they would be incredibly limited.

I also think that it should have a small amount of stamina regen when using these shields, as it'd need the raw blocking power to counteract the fact that the nser couldn't kill a skeever.

Historical there have always been Shields with spikes. Some effective Buckler types or Bracer type, some less effective or more towards ornamental.

They give a sting to a bash. But it stays a shield bash.

No stamina regen, shields that do zero damage and use stamina to do noth... attack, giant shield that make argonians look like turtles and a new interesting shield&shield shieldline.

There's a book in a delve in Orsinium giving twenty facts about shields. It tells you you are a fool to go into battle without a shield and an idiot if you use two.

It also says the best use of a shield is to bash a sorcerer in the face

Not realistic by any means. a shield that would be big enough to do what it's supposed to do would be too clumsy to use two of. a shield that is small enough or light enough to flip around like a weapon would not protect...it would literally be an example of the fan video above (great vid though, love that kata).

even a buckler that is strapped to the arm (spikes or no) Is designed for single use, with weapons either in both hands or main hand.

When you are dual wielding weapons, what you are really doing is getting rid of the shield for the extra options provided by a second weapon. the nature of a weapon makes this doable. dual shields simply isn't doable. Not that I'm a huge fan of "must fit reality" I really don't see this as being a necessary or viable addition in the game, realistic or no.

I would simply prefer more offensive shield options. shield and spear would be an interesting one, as mentioned above. This line could favor more offensive skills, and at the same time offer possible some passive defensive buffs to earmark the fact that you carry a big slab of protection.

This I would go for. Dual shields? um no.
