Giving up on my DK

Played the game for a little over two months, giving up weeks after cyrodiil was released. I have been disappointed with my DK dps, although I enjoy the challenge discovering new techniques... Just not the same as playing on PC and having the ability to use addons to measure your dps. I've tried stam build and constantly run out of resources, magika dps seems to be decent with poor defense. I'm looking to get back with a better understanding of my toon or probably start a fresh toon on a different alliance. Maybe am asking if anyone it's willing to mentor me and I'll do whatever I can to repay you.

✭✭✭✭✭Maybe you just need to change things up a bit. Try out Lefty's new build, the Phantom Squire. It's actually really good - I tried it last night. It worked so well I made a variation of it on my stam sorc, which also worked a treat oddly enough.
Truth be told it was a hell of a lot more fun than spamming wrecking blow, and changing up my routine helped me appreciate the class a bit more.

✭Well, this seems to be more of a dress code issue. If you wear proper set armors, in blue to purple quality, this game becomes much more easy.
Focus your gear on:
For lvl'ing and grinding = regen and cost reduction.
For group content = spell damage/ weapon damage, sustain doesn't matter as it will be provided by a support role in the group. (Pugging can be troublesome here, you can ask the healers if they can slot resource management skills for you but don't expect them to have those skills or want to slot them ^^).
For solo pvp = focus everything on cc skills and highest possible spell/ weapon damage, sneak and kill fast.
For group pvp = cc skills and regen.
For duelling in pvp = everything goes, you need to change playstyle/ gear/ skills depending on whom you're up against ^^
