Tired of BoP? Intorducing the Sigil Of Unbinding

I would suggest that all bind on pick up armor/weapons be allowed to be converted to bind on equip through a Sigil of Unbinding. This Sigil can be made by crafters and also sold in the crown store (similar to xp pots). This would only apply to BoP items that have not been equipped.

This idea would benefit sellers, buyers, crafters, and even ZOS through the crown store.

Would you support something like this?

personally, i think a currency system would be amazing to buy armor and weapons, as i described in a recent (but dead) post

    VR 16 Orc Stamina Dragonknight

We need a loot currency system in this game!

While initially I thought the OP's suggestion might be a bit heavy handed P2W upon second thought it might be some sort of solution to the problem (or the problem that ZOS created)

IF the only reason we can't have BOE gear is because ZOS feels the need to force players to spend money on the new DLC then the crown store unbinding item does exactly that. It solves the manufactured ZOS issue just fine. It's still not an ideal situation for players and most of that gear could be safely BOE without hurting any content sales at all, but it's not about what players want here.

As long as we can use AP to buy them as well I'm on board with this idea 100%
    Daggerfall Covenant
Sallington - Templar - Stormproof - Prefect II
Cobham - Sorcerer - Stormproof - First Sergeant II
    Shallington - NightBlade - Lieutenant |
    Balmorah - Templar - Sergeant ||

How will crafters be able to make it? Will it be like the xp potion recipe and you get fragments from doing writs? I like the idea only if the method of achieving the ability to make the Sigils within a reasonable amount of time isn't dependent on the number of crafting characters you have.

sigil of unbinding ? that sounds like a crown store Idea to be honest and I don't see that being healthy for the game. However I prefer the idea of having the possibilithy to get your gear BoE instead of BoP in instances.
Restoration is a perfectly valid school of magic, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! - Spells and incantations for those with the talent to cast them!

No thank you. If you want the gear then earn it by doing the dungeons. That said the system needs to be improved and tweaked.

Remove undesirable traits from the loot system
    Increase drop chances
Let players be able to trade with other party members while in the instance but only if they met certain qualifying criteria.

Just implement a god damn token system already. You've done it with IC, you can do it in the future(an improved version please!). Stop the RNG-festival!! It's long overdue. If you want people to farm for endless hours to get their gear, then just make the amount of tokens required, insanely high.

AT LEAST there is a certainty that people will get what they desire in the end with a token system. You can't say the same with this RNG mumbo jumbo.

It's time for an overhaul of the current loot system!
Implement a Token-System, so people get rewarded for their time invested!
RNG^RNG is both tedious and undesirable!

Nope. Nope nope nope nope nope.

I've seen it all before. That's going straight in the crown store. For me that would be the same as buying gear with crowns. If they do that, I'm out. Either keep it as it is, or change BoP.

That sounds like a terrible idea. It would be another excuse for them to lower the drop rates even more so players would be discouraged from farming and be more tempted to buy from people who already have them; people who spent money to unbind them with sigil bought from the crown store...see where I'm going with this?

This would be a great avenue for end game guilds to sell gear for real world money...

Do you like PvP gear when it is more powerful than your PvE gear? It is very convenient that you can buy it right? Should they make all PvP gear BoP when the v16 versions are released? Are you willing to earn your entire set by spending a month only PvPing? I didnt think so.

Well seems no one likes the idea of the crown store. I threw that in there since I thought it would tweak Zos's interest. So let's make it only craftable.

Most likely by assembling sigil parts bought from the crown store.

I don't want the junk anyhow. I either sell it right away or I drop it in to the guild bank and let them do the bondage if they want.

Erm actually If the set is good, yes I would spend that time to get the set. I do both pvp and pve.
