I love social games, and love running around in a good team, but had to leave 2-4 clans yesterday, because guys were screaming in clan chat, when they realized Im not a male gamer.
This is strange.
I have been playing in many clans in other games, and most of my friends are male, so what is going on here?
I only found 1 good clan with mature people, but we are in different time zone, others are don't speak or acting like kids.
Game is good.
I would stay and play....but social part..hmmmm

Pc sounds great with the chat box, would be fantastic this option on xb1!
I suggest you get the PC game, text chat is much more fun

The bolded part-- what do you mean, "screaming"? Just curious as that made me laugh trying to imagine what was going on.
Pretty much all the guilds I'm in have mostly mature people, except for the "that's what she said" types that display their idiocy now and then.
Not true, the only difference is the chat box instead of a voice chat.

Im on EU server by the way, 1 day off from work so just running around alone, waiting for friends / new clan to be online.
I have been playing Defiance for a year on xbox360, the game wasn't so good, full with bugs, but the social/clan part was fantastic with voice/text chat all the time.
Hope to get this feeling here soon.

I stopped playing on PS4 and went back to PC purely for the reason the OP gave, no text chat, people screaming obscenities etc and the only option to play with voice disabled hence not really playing an mmo.

Maybe not the best word: screaming...shouting idiot things on a thin voice.
