I just bought my xb1 a few days ago and started with ESO.
I love social games, and love running around in a good team, but had to leave 2-4 clans yesterday, because guys were screaming in clan chat, when they realized Im not a male gamer.
This is strange.
I have been playing in many clans in other games, and most of my friends are male, so what is going on here?
I only found 1 good clan with mature people, but we are in different time zone, others are don't speak or acting like kids.
Game is good.
I would stay and play....but social part..hmmmm

Most of the people I hear using voice chat are often being very immature... but at least those that aren't like that can be one of the best parts of this game. Keep trying and you will find a few good friends amongst the idiots of that I am sure.

I was going to say play on PC too. It would seem the PC players are...generally more mature...not all but most have been really nice. ^^

That IS embarrassing - for them. Sadly the reality is that while most of us have evolved, there are still many immature and sexist mouth breathers out there. Their attitudes towards the opposite gender does occasionally make me ashamed to be a gamer.

Not true, the only difference is the chat box instead of a voice chat.

Sadly there are a fair few idiots on voice chat, I find I turn area chat off any time I need to go to dagger fall as they tend to gather there. We have a few female gamers I'm our guild who have run into the same issue as you here and in other games like wow (for the superior PC crowd I think you'll find that's not on console) so much so that one of our female members puts on a fantastic voice to pretend she's a 10 year old boy whenever she uses area chat.

Be it text or voice chat people are people and the only reason text chat is even remotely more pleasant is because of filters. Personally I just ignore the jackasses that are always spouting the most inappropriate mess in voice chats. Sad thing is some of the people that play ESO on consoles hold no regard to speaking to a woman properly. They will potty mouth them so hard it will make you spit bricks.

That being said if you were on PS4 NA OP you could join my guild which has decent people but alas it was never meant to be I suppose...

PC is generally nicer, and especially the EU server. If you're stuck on Xbone then I'd recommend trying the EU server of it - granted I've never played on consoles so I'm just guessing.

Now Im begging for this feature to!
Im on EU server by the way, 1 day off from work so just running around alone, waiting for friends / new clan to be online.
I have been playing Defiance for a year on xbox360, the game wasn't so good, full with bugs, but the social/clan part was fantastic with voice/text chat all the time.
Hope to get this feeling here soon.

The bolded part-- what do you mean, "screaming"? Just curious as that made me laugh trying to imagine what was going on.

Pretty much all the guilds I'm in have mostly mature people, except for the "that's what she said" types that display their idiocy now and then.

Actually, i've been on various teamspeak using groups on PC, almost all of them got female players talking...never found anyone being sexist yet. No doubt, there are those kind of players on PC as well, but my experience, at least on NA server of PC, says that those weird sexist guys aren't close as many as how the op says about XBOX there. I actually found more sexist on chat box than team speak.

The best way is to find in-game friends, if you don't have RL one playing the game, and create a new guild together. That way you and your friends can filter the recruitments yourself, and have a good social experience on the game

sounds like you could solve both problems by finding a good guild that would be my suggestion.

It's taken me since xbox launch until 3 weeks ago to find an active, mature guild devoid of politics.

People who just want to help each other and have fun.

Just keep looking, you'll find one.
