Epic Shield Stacking

So, yesterday I got bored and wondered just how high my shields would go...
I did this in PvE for added effect, PvP you can't get that high as far as I'm aware and thankful for it too (thank *** they cut these numbers down in PvP because this *** gets crazy high numbers).
An added note in case anyone starts crying "nerf!", the set up you have to use to get this is stupid and not at all viable for anything except not dying... and even then it's very niche and more than a bit useless.
Anyway, on to the stack!
You can see just how high it went if you look at my health bar (an 82.9k stack... and that wasn't the highest I managed either lol, just the best one I managed to screenshot).
Anyone manage to get higher than that?

Interested to know how you got it that high too.... doesn't look like your max magicka is that high so hardened ward wouldn't be extra special, even with 100 points in bastion.

Let me guess.... you let yourself go low health to make healing ward stronger, harness magicka, hardened ward, the damage shield weapon enchant (Can't remember the name off hand), Anything else?

I did let my health get low and used healing ward, but you're way off on the rest No damage shield enchant either.

could have another dk give a shield, a highly buffed barrier, a shield from sets (whitestrakes, imperium, permafrost), the mini shield from drinking a pot with 120+ in the rightmost crtree (plus a sheild from starting to block with the leftmost ctree and a macro'd respec ^^) in addition

Lol, perhaps and perhaps not. The animations on the shot taken should show you at least some of the skills used.

and from math you can see he has about 30k mana which is actually really low for a sorc in PvE and PvP I suppose

So yes, he got 80k in shields but LOL if he had 45k mana like most good sorcs and he empowered his barrier I bet he couldve hit 100k EASY

With Barrier, Hardened Ward, Bone Shield and Steadfast Ward I can hit ~82k which is very close to your number and this is with zero points in Bastion. With 100 points in Bastion then 100k+ shields would be doable, as an Emperor you should probably hit 65k+ shields in Cyro.

Nice, never bothered to try for emp on my Sorc, in the vet campaigns it eats up too much of my time.

Yeah Barrier can go upwards of 30k, and I can get 38k with just my Hardened Ward + Harness, so could easily beat that if I let my health get really far down and used a Healing Ward.

Well... erm.... yes you do need high max magicka actually... this is one of the 3 principal drivers behind DPS stats, so higher max magicka = higher DPS.

If yours is 30k, and others are 40-45k then you'll be at a significant disadvantage. Nothing at all to do with player skill & 'L2P'. Simple gear mathematics.

Mostly I PvP with him and have gone another direction apart from straight DPS which includes surviving without relying on constant shields (for the record, my DPS hasn't suffered that much from it), mixed successes and tweaks to come but that was never the point of this post at all.

Eh, it's not that big of a deal really, it lasts for about a second and it's gone. That and this was taken in PvE where shields get eaten like crazy. ZoS already did something about them in PvP and with Maelstrom the way it is I wouldn't mind having 80K plus shields in there if it was viable.
