New Gear Set - Losing Spell Damage Instead of Gaining it

    I have the same problem. For me it's the neckless of willpower.

    2 rings of willpower + neckless= 2167 spell damage
    2 rings of willpower + no neckless= 2167 spell damage

    It applies correctly the 3rd bonus only if I wear nothing but the willpower set.
    The night is dark and full of terrors but the fire burns them all away

    Set bonuses are screwed...

    Today I was at a set bonus crafting station and quicksilver set bonus items were giving more set bonuses than Void items....

    They had the same stats as VR16....QUICKSILVER ITEMS with VR16 SET BONUSES....

    Something is very very wrong....

    I think its all set bonuses are bugged.

    Found te problem, it is a ui bug. When I took my 2 piece torug off (spell damage bonus) my ui said my damage was the same. But when I looked at my skill (without 2 piece) it was a lot less damage compared to when I had the 2 piece equipped. I have also tested this with 5 piece julianos. I can confirm that atleast these sets are bugged in ui but for the other sets others have in question I am not sure. I would assume that they all are just a ui bug.

    Can anyone confirm whether or not their DPS has improved despite this issue?

    It would be a relief to know it isn't negatively affecting folks' damage capability..
    Disabling the grass may improve performance.

    hey! I recently wanted to test to replace my endurance set by willpower on my blazing shield templar, to see if I could gain some extra SD without losing too much hps. But like some folks over here, the spell damage from the set doesnt show up in my stats... I'm on PS4, so I can't see the actual damage numbers, can anyone confirm it's just some sheet bug, and that the spelldamage actually applies?

    Hi all,

    Just had the weirdest bug to go with the issues described above.

    I'm running 5x Julianos (dual-wield weps included), 3x Willpower jewelry, the rest is Arch-Mage (4x). Legs, head and chest are gold, everything else is purple. Off-hand is golden Julianos Staff which breaks the 5-piece bonus from that set if switched to.

    Jewelry is all Spell Cost reduction, large armour pieces are Infused, small ones are Divines.

    Mundus is Spell Power.

    What I did was take off the Arch-Mage shoulders and shoes and upgrade them both to gold, increasing Mundus bonus to 7.5 from 6.5. I also changed the enchantment on Willpower necklace to Magicka regen. After putting everything back on, my Spell Power leaped from 2343 to 4800. Needless to say I was surprised and happy as hell, even checked the spell damage tooltips and it all worked out - 15k damage from Crystal fragments, yay! I even took the upgraded shoulders off and put them back on a couple of times to see if it was a glitch - nope, worked fine.

    Then I switched to the staff bar. The 5-piece Spell power bonus from Julianos went away as expected, but Spell Power was still around 4500-ish. I was almost extatic at that point.

    And then I changed back to dual-wield and everything went away. 2355 Spell Power. A whopping 12-point increase.

    I don't know if it's a UI issue or not, never had the opportunity to test it, but I should sue ZOS for psychological damage.

    Weren't Greatswords and Mauls 1571 weapon damage with Imperial City patch? If they are down to 1531, sounds like they got nerfed, too. And base damage number of weapons is based on melee versus ranged, not 2H versus 1H. It is a risk/reward thing as attacking from range is safer than getting right up in enemy's face. Now, the fact that you can equip a couple daggers or a greatsword and use ranged class skills to bypass the whole risk/reward of being a melee character is a problem. But having melee do better damage than ranged is, in itself, a good thing. It is just poorly implemented in game.

    Although that's not really the case, is it. Impulse need to be very close to your enemies to hit, vs steel tornado for example, which got a longer reach and do more dps once you've done it once or twice on the enemies, so it's not really risk vs reward anymore with mages having to take more risks with less reward than a stamina dual wield user spamming steel tornado.

    These are graphics bugs guys. If you test the damage you will see that even though all your stats are the same only running 1 torugs instead of 2 you will do less damage. Same exact numbers on the character sheet but damage numbers that are accurate.
