Ha you must be new to MMO's :) I remember when I first started playing WoW and ESO (these were my first two MMO's), I just couldn't go on the forums because I couldn't stand seeing so many people complaining about a game that I enjoyed. Just people crying and complaining and arguing with each other. It is ridiculous and almost one of those car wreck instances that you don't want to look at but you do anyway. And I used to complain about it as well and say why is everyone so angry about a game that they still pay for? If you hate it that much then why don't you stop paying for it and find a different game? The developers are working the butts off to keep all you cry babies entertained blah blah blah. Then I realized that I was just one of those people... On the forum... Complaining about other people complaining ;)

In the end, if I post anything on the forum, I post something that I am enjoying about the game. And for the most part, it brings out the players that either enjoy the same thing or respond with something that they personally enjoy and it generally turns out to be a positive post. So I suggest, if you want to see more posts about what people like about this game, I would create and contribute to the more positive posts :)

You have to unterstand most of the complainers. Im a pvp player and love everything about the pvp in the game but the game wont allow me to play when i want.
Want to play on primetime on azura, eu? Yeah better log out. And so many things are driving me away from the game. I play mmos for about 15 years and this is the only mmo which got worse over time performance wise and not better. And its actual the first mmo i stop playing because i cant play but i want to play. most of my guildmembers and friends stopped with ESO because you cant play it in the primetime.

Its such a shame that zos destroys his own game, at least for pvp players.

Tldr: fix lag in cyrodil. better communication with the player base.

The lag in Cyrodiil has nothing to do with lack of listening to the PVP player base.

    period.

Okay? There are so many ideas from the community to fix the lag but most of the times we didnt get a lurk from a dev or god forbid, an answer.

I mean you wrote period so you have to be right.

    @Iyas,
    about "period".
"period" is certainly not a very communicative word :) But sometimes it brings a message much better.
Lag is THE problem of PVP. Somebody must be totally blind or dumb if he thinks otherwise.
And ZOS, the devs and managers are not blind and dumb.
Ascribing the long fix time of lag to malice of ZOS is equally unrealistic.
So, sorry to say it, but your conclusion that the lag is not solved because ZOS does not listen to the player base, is wrong.

    That was summarised in "period"

    About fixing the lag.
    I have some technical background:
I am 59 and always liked programming. I build my first electronic device back in 1971 with TTL chips of Texas Instruments. I learned in 1976 the machine language of the Rockwell AIM 8 bit microprocessor and was involved in programming Computer Chess in them days. Founded my own computer company in the late seventies. Ended nevertheless up in my original study chemistry and was as international operational manager also involved in big ERP projects. So I experienced all sides of IS/IT and I think I am entitled to say some things on IS/IT issues in a big company.
On the technical aspects of the lag:
The amount of calculations that needs to be done with the current game mechanics is a complete nightmare for the people that have to do the programming & the coding AND a nightmare for the financial people for possible expansions of the computer/server capacity to handle it.
That number of calculations explode when the amount of players that can interact and do interact is high, causing lag.
That problem is pretty fundamental. There are many ways to tackle it, but they will (I guess) all have very big effects that cannot be completely overseen upfront.
So.... we have a big company, whereby the technicians are not very well understood by the high level managers and financial people AND there are even risks that proposed solutions are not 100% certain or they cost lots of money.
That is a classic recipe for long decision times.

Suggestions made by the playerbase are only a first phase of such a project.
And as long as ZOS has no clear ideas how to get out of the lag, they can do or say little to nothing.

So what is the bottom line?
We, including myself (I play PVP as well)... We have to endure the lag. See perhaps one or two quick fixes that do not really solve the issue.
And have to wait until it is fundamentally solved.

And I am confident that ZOS will solve it :)

"I still do not understand why I followed the advice of Captain Rana to bring the villagers of Bleakrock into safety. We should have fought for our village and not have backed down, with our tail between our legs. Now my home village is in shambles, the houses burning, the invaders feasting.I swear every day to Shor that after Molag Bal has been defeated, I will hunt down the invaders and restore peace in Bleakrock and drink my mead with my friends at the market place".PC-EU
