ITT: I don't understand

Anyone who knows me on these here forums understands that I don't make much of a fuss. I've eaten every decision about this game and came out with a positive mindset.

As of three days ago, my guild needed to change GMs due to inactivity. We put in a ticket, waited and after three days we come to find out that a RANDOM INACTIVE PLAYER IN OUR GUILD BECAME GM. Now, this has happened twice before. When I put in a ticket for my first guild, the new GM promptly wiped the bank and disbanded the entire guild. My second guild had this happen after a NEW MEMBER was selected.

We were prepared for this to happen, as we have secured bank items and put everyone on high alert. But why do we have to do this? What sembelance of thought- what mental hurdle does the support team have to stagger over with lackadaisical bravado to reach such a toxic decision? Why do we STILL have to put in ticket to have a guild members status changed?

The emails state that it goes to the most active and highest ranking person, but this member was the complete opposite of both these filters! Like I mentioned, I don't get too upset over in-game things, but it's like the support team just throws a dart at a board just for gits a shiggles.

Has this happened to anyone else? Please tell me we're not the only ones with this much bad administration.

Well the guild I currently run has a strange story.

The first guild we had, leader became inactive and guild slowly died, we couldn't get ownership so my friends made a new guild and we transferred members to that. After a while, our leader wanted to run another guild as well, so he gave his officer leadership over the guild.... and she went offline for some months, so the whole guild sent in mails to get the leadership back to our supposed leader... 2 weeks after, Zenimax logged in with her account and gave our leader the throne back.

When our leader wanted to quit the game, he passed me leadership. Out of all the guilds I've been in, only 2 of their leaders passed on leadership, when they decided to quit the game. Imho I think it is very inconsiderate of a guildmaster to not pass lead, if they choose to leave the game or hold long breaks.
