Thieves Guild DLC coming next.

Hi all, with latest Meet the Character - Chief Bazrag we've came to realise that the Thieves Guild is scheduled to be the next DLC;
We'll be back with the Meet the Character series for the Thieves Guild DLC game pack—see you then!

So what do we know already about the Thieves Guild? Loyalists of Nocturnal, thieves, Nightingales and hopefully gear part of sets with worthwhile traits!

We know the Outlaws Refuge's are a part of the Justice System, possibly the Thieves Guild will simply add a repeatable quest giver to the area where we gain reputation in order to buy Thieves Guild motif pages and that will be the DLC done and dusted, I hope not but yeah, I'm curious to see how they're implemented.

How are you looking forward to Thieves Guild gear being implemented into the game? Motif pages like Xivkyn? Perhaps item sets which use the Thieves Guild style? Or possibly both, similarly to Xivkyn, motif pages and item sets which use the Thieves Guild style, with the item sets providing bonuses which makes sense for a guild of Thieves.

What are you hoping for with Thieves Guild DLC? What do you expect from TESO: TU's third DLC?

    The main reason I started playing TESO was the justice system and the promise of Thief's Guild/Dark Brotherhood questlines. I am currently content ransacking houses and shops picking up some good loot, but can't wait for a quest line and skill line. I for see something like daily quests given by NPCs in the Outlaw Refuge telling us to go here and steal this much like the Radiant Quests given by Vex and Delvin in Skyrim. I honestly can't wait to see what they have in store for the DLC.

    We don't have reputation to increase rewards with Guilds, which is sad but whatever; radiant quests & content for Fighter's Guild [yes a repeatable quest in Cyrodiil doesn't count], Mages Guild [this is spellcrafting], Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood guild definitely needs to happen.

    We should be able to get rewards from these quests which are part of sets from each guild with their own distinctive bonuses which make sense to characters representing those guilds. This could function similarly to other MMOs where they have class gear and artifact gear rewards for classes.

    I'm really interested to see the Thieves Guild & Dark Brotherhood skill lines, will they just be passives? Maybe some actives like Undaunted too?

    Nightingale costume reward from finishing Veteran mode of something or maybe even for getting loads of achievements; for Legerdemain there was a dye reward tied to an achievement, maybe a Nightingale costume will be a reward for getting loads of achievements, maybe a polymorph.

    First it's rumor the the Dark Brotherhood is next not the Thieves guild. Second I personally think ZOS needs to quit it the DLC for a bit just so they can finally start focusing on balancing there game. There is so many stuff broken like what is the point of DLC if half the game is broken.

    You need to play more TES games than Skyrim. The thieves guild being worshipers of Nocturnal, the Nightingales, these were exclusive to Skyrim. The thieves guild in Oblivion had none of that. If anything, they were enemies of Nocturnal, because the Gray Fox stole her cowl from her. There is every indication that the thieves guild only developed that particular little cult within it's ranks sometime in the 200 years after the Oblivion Crisis.

    Class and skill balancing like they promised would be coming with the DLC after Orsinium, on ESO Live a few episodes back.
    I am tired of my Stamina Templar being the underdog in PvP.
    A new Trial for us raiders, like they have also promised would come with the next DLC.
    Couldn't really care less about the rest of the Thieves Guild DLC, but any new content is always welcome, aslong as it comes with the above mentioned things.

    Skill lines should be tied to the base game patches. Otherwise it will lead to very bad things.
    Like...buy X updates, to become OP.
    Adding items tied to DLCs is another thing, because you have alternatives, so DLCs won't become a "must have".
    While I want to get new skill lines too, that thing worries me a lot.

    Ive always imagined Dark Brotherhood and Thief DLCs to be similiar to Mage and Fighter Guilds. New skills and Ultimates surely wouldnt hurt. I dont want to sound like a party-pooper but we just got two Major Content Update, so I suspect Dark Brotherhood and Thief guilds are something minor, after them, maybe something bigger again.

    If Im right.. I hope they keep expanding NPC guilds after these two, like Hunter, Entertainer, Priest, Merchant etc, so they could open all kind of interesting and different activities.

    I want repeatable quests (not time-locked dailies) to be added to all the guilds, not just Thieves and Dark Brotherhood.

    Thieves Guild quests could be:
    Pickpocket this NPC.
    Rob this house.
    Rob this store/bank.
    Steal X gold worth of items.

    DB quests could be:
    Murder this NPC.
    Rescue a fellow assassin from the guards.
    Find Sithis relic from X location.
    Assemble components for a new poison/weapon.

    Mages Guild quests could be:
    Find book from X location.
    Kill a rogue mage.
    Deal with Dark Fissure in X location.
    Retrieve magical supplies from X location.

    FG quests could be:
    Close X dolmen.
    Kill X world boss.
    Kill X number of Daedra and undead.
    Find weapon components in X location.

    etc.

    Loved the way Skyrim did the repeatable quests. This will also give us a reason to visit places we've cleared before again, so those delves and stuff aren't just one and done. Hope something like this happens soon.

    I am not sure about Thieves and Dark Brotherhood. My only concern is that they will have skill lines, the skill lines will be better than what we all have now (to encourage people to buy the DLC) and then for a few weeks every NPC is murdered and every item is stolen so people level up just to get access to uber abilities.

    I don't really want to turn my main into a criminal but feel I will have to.

    I just hope the Dark Brotherhood is clever and gives us choices, go after less well paying agent of molag bal or against a noble where the job pays better but the man is innocent and we don't get forced to just murder Jeb the hapless tavern owner every time he respawns.

    Me playing ES since however many years has absolutely nothing to do with this thread in anyway shape or form, please focus on the topic at hand; I was referring to what we know about the Thieves Guild as a whole within the franchise to spur up ideas and discussion on possibilities, we have very little to no information about them within TESO: TU and can only assume who ZoS shall use the existing lore and history, there's a couple of NPCs I remember related to the guild;

    And of course the corpse in Cyrodiil south of a town.

    Sure there are stuff in previous ES games like the South Wall Cornerclub in Balmora, Gray Fox and so on but we're talking about TESO not Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim; hence us being on the TESO forums and not the Bethesda ES forums. We know the Thieves Guild has been connected to Nocturnal in the past and we know about various different gameplay activities we've been able to participate in before, Legerdemain while not Thieves Guild gives player opportunities to do stuff which may or may not have something to do with Thieves Guild.

    I'm assuming that the justice system will be fleshed out completely when the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood are released. This would allow for more content than just a few solo quests, so they could actually charge more crown points.

    I'd like to see PvP elements implemented with the Thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood. Cyrodiil quests to loot this enemy keep or controlled city. This would also add an element for those that don't wish to play shady character adding a guard skill line possibly. As for the Dark Brotherhood in PvP, maybe people could perform the Black Sacrament to request a contract on another player. I think both guilds could add very interesting elements to PvP.
