Lore-wise I went with DC because I believe they stand the best chance of restoring peace to Tamriel. Although my massive Nord kind of towers over everyone, heh.

lol, more like they will kill each other in lore-wise. Breton and Orc's hate each other and the redguard are a proud race that will not join hands with any race until they proof themselves(by defeating them). Only, Talos succeeded.

    Edit:
The ESO lore of EP and DC is a joke, they never formed a faction. Except AD.

Yeah but from a political and economic standpoint, DC is actually the alliance that would best stand the test of time :P

Go to AD. Nice people, beautiful land, kitties and smart queen :3
Magicka sorcerer from start until the end. Always. Through the good times and the bad, even now when its probably saddest PvE dps it has ever been.

I actually have to agree. The DC peoples have a very longterm view of the world even if their lifespans aren't as long as the Aldmeri Dominion (Altmer/Bosmer). The AD peoples are also too concerned with their skooma, thieving and aesthetics to be of much use to anybody. Take a look at the way DC people build fortifications. THOSE ARE FORTS. Altmer have beautiful towers, and their system probably works well in a jungle, so attacking them on their turf might be hard, but I just don't see them conquering the EP or DC in large part because neither faction could accept an Altmer on the Ruby Throne. The Altmer lost their chance with Alessia in the first era, and I don't see them shaking their reputation, even when a good queen like Ayrenn comes along. I think most races would be gravely concerned about who here successors might be, and the Veiled Heritance is a strong reason to never let them gain control. While the DC has obvious issues of infighting I wouldn't assume they couldn't be allied. Enemies can become friends, otherwise explain why the backbone of the EU is Germany, UK, and France. These three former empires waged all kinds of wars, had intermarrying Kings, alliances and dissolved alliances. Why should we assume DC is any different between High Rock, Orsinium, and Hammerfell.

The faction I have the hardest time believing is the Ebonheart Pact, and with the invasion of the Akaviri Kamal it actually makes sense. There are other examples of at least Nords and Dunmer working together, despite obvious rivalries between the two. Nords don't take well to slavery in general in the lore, and Dunmer love slaving (and that includes the races of men). Add to that fact that Nords have a strong warrior culture and get drunk and punch each other for fun, in a manner that scares most races (including other humans) and I can see a lot of disagreements popping up between these two. Conversely, Dunmer view themselves as the racial superior to everyone, to the point that they feel Altmer are lesser, weaker cousins, untried and lazy. This superiority complex will make it hard for them to work with nords and argonians as equals. Argonians have had their territory stolen by the Dunmer many times, and are regularly enslaved. The Dunmer view the argonians as inferior to humans, who are in turn considered fairly inferior to the Dunmer. Argonians have also had brutal wars with the Kothringi, and other imperial outsiders (Reman era) on their borders. I'm going to go on a limb and say this pact is bound to fall apart, particularly with House Dres around, and especially because House Telvanni isn't part of the Pact. I think they do a good job explaining the alliance though, but it is clearly the most fragile of the three, from a cultural standpoint. Skyrim is no place for Argonians (too cold), and Shadowfen is no place for Nords (too hot and swampy). All that holds them together is former alliances against the Akaviri, and a desire to not be ruled by foreign occupation. Its important to note that the lore does have examples of warring and alliance by at least Nords and Dunmer though in times past.

I will echo what someone had said, be sure to post what server you play on as I have heard DC have pretty good numbers in EU and the experience may differ from NA servers (not to mention PC or XBOX or PS4).

I play mostly DC on NA PC and we definitely seem to be outnumbered on most campaigns.

I do enjoy DC questline the most, and the look of their zones. AD is next in line for story, though it seems a little too storybook/fairytale to my liking. Their first and last zones are great look wise but my gawd I did not care for the forests. EP story starts off weak but end decently enough. Zones/scenery are all pretty decent.

Oddly enough I liked the EP swamp better than the AD forests.

EP is the best faction for the simple reason that the towns are organized more efficiently, and the crafting surveys are generally close to wayshrines. So, it's easier and faster to accomplish missions and toon management with an EP toon. There are a few exceptions, but for the most part, the EP towns are just organized more efficiently. Whoever designed the main town in Auridon needs to be punished for their "creativity".

As you can tell if you've read this thread, everyone has their bias. But, if you want to make your choice on something substantive, go with EP. It'll make your life easier.

Furthermore, if you're planning on pvp, there is a term called 'green tea', because AD and DC tend to work together far too often. That's just not how it's supposed to go.

there is ********* and ******** people in all factions.
Choose what you like - choose all - or choose what your friends playing.

    It doesnt really matter.

As an AD player i could say we have the best and nicest player base. But that would be a lie.
Looking towards DC and EP (and having friends playing there) i cant say that for their factions either though.
What i do know tho is that there are really good player/people and groups/guilds in all factions.

So looking forward to fight side by side with you or facing you on one of the other sides.

    Thats intresting :open_mouth:
As AD tend to call DC and EP the *Purple Alliance*
Maybe it doesnt matter where you play. And you always feel like the 2 other factions are plotting against your own ^^

Wait is there a term for AD/EP?
Do DC players feel like we are working together too?

It all depends on what you want to do really. IMO.

    For PvP:
EP= Full of hardcore, organized PvP guilds. Lost some good players to DC and rage quitting (or whatever happened to the top players of Havoc) but is still very strong.
AD= Trying to pick up the pieces from the top guilds falling apart/dying and some great players switching factions.
DC= Up and comers looking to make a name for themselves. Benefited from some top names and guilds switching.

    For PvE:
It doesn't matter because you have the veteran zones which let you play each alliance anyway. I have heard EP zone chat is pretty bad, not sure though as I never got a character passed 35 on EP before deleting it. DC seems pretty good in zone but I find AD to be the nicest. Plus AD has Razum-dar... second best NPC in the game hands down. (Cadwell being first)
