Why I am Dropping ESO plus and most likely game!

1. I understand a dlc is coming up
2. I understand maintenance needs to happen Been in games before the internet
3. I understand ya all al new
4. I understand Bethesda has ya clipped


Just suppose for a moment

1. I did not play the game for a year because I figured it would be flawed.
2. I came April 2015 vet 16 CP 186 Casual player, yet things not fixed
3. a mechanism that has been used scince the birth of MMO's ya wont USE, Community awareness, was a seer in UO Guide EQ.
4. Consistent Bugs that are not addressed or not conveyed they are being looked at.
5. NO, Absolutely NO communication on down times.... I mean if all ya servers are down cell phones can connect to forums and state hey people were over out head here be x hours.
6. Seems as if DEVS Moderators and the like do their job they don't Ehemmmmm "immerse"


I love the game however I am one of the few I spend money on game, get nowhere really (however I'm not complaining about that) I have a life, love the game the 9 Hours I waited for the game to come up however is wrong, I play maybe 40 hours a week 50 tops..... spend 50-60 every 2, time for you ZOS to figure that. Figure people don't really want to be on the forums. they want to play the dang game, give them a time.... I work close to 60 hous a week differing shifts (complaints no) however I would love to know (within reason) when I can play a Game I PAY FOR, I don't care if ya out 3 days to FIX!!!!, just tell me when approx. and if ya don't hit target before the time is up (UPDATE). Its either that or I will fold on online gaming after 23 years..... TY

Remember pre-launch when people were outraged at not getting all their pre-launch game time, due to maintenance and fixes, that they were "entitled" to via the Imperial Edition.

Glad to see some things never change.

I understand that there are flaws, bugs and issues, but, is it really enough to give up all online gaming after 23 years over?

I will admit that I'm a relative novice at this environment of gaming and honestly can't stand MMO's or cooperative play at all and am loathed to use the voice-chat at all, but, I still enjoy the game for what it is.

I'll admit that it's a real pisher to be in the middle of playing and all the sudden the server will go down, but, hey, whatcha gonna do. I agree that they could at least ping us to let us know that they'll be going down in 10 minutes or something, but, still.

23 years of online gaming down the tube over one game? I love ESO, but I also love all Bethesda games as well as a bunch of others.

A little bit of flawed customer service isn't gonna make me give up gaming though.

He actually brings up a good point

When they said they were committed to releasing new DLC quarterly, this made me slightly concerned. I'd much rather they focused on refining and improving upon current systems and content within the game already, before anything new is added. As the OP pointed out, many long existing issues are still plaguing the game, so adding new content quarterly like they wish to do will only clog up the amount of work they are giving themselves. Because we know when new things are released, there's always new problems and it's clear to me that these seem to be building up and many issues are being placed to the side for too long due to them focusing on new major issues.

New DLC(s) can come when the base game is in a proper state in terms of general "Quality of Life" fixes and improvements.
