You know you can't overlap campaigns on your characters in different factions? This pretty much solves everything you wanted to propose with "faction lock", just in a smoother way.MountainHound wrote: »So, will there ever be a faction lock on user accounts?

Restricting your choices: it's the Elder Scrolls way!I like the idea of once you choose a toon to take to pvp that is your faction...Done deal. Also, only let so many of each faction in until the other factions fill.

Yeah, let's make it so that it's impossible for PVE players to ever get Alliance War skills that are also very useful for PVE on some of their characters! Oh, you want to get caltrops on your DC tank? Too bad, because you're only allowed 1 campaign per account, and you're already in a campaign on your AD character!MountainHound wrote: »You know you can't overlap campaigns on your characters in different factions? You can home with 1 main, guest in another with another faction whilst an ally faction can use you as a spy?
Another simple fix would be 1 campaign per account, not one per character.

Yeah, make it so that when you join a new guild you can't go and play with them in Cyrodiil because you picked the wrong campaign and can't change it!MountainHound wrote: »Yeah, let's make it so that it's impossible for PVE players to ever get Alliance War skills that are also very useful for PVE on some of their characters! Ok ok. Remove guest and actually truely fix travel to player.
1 campaign per character with NO guest options available.

Dark Age of Camelot was 1 account 1faction and was great so all the haters above, u seem quite foolish, taking pride and supporting ur side was amazing even an underpopulated side would get respect for coming out and they werent zerged, but what was the OP thinking suggesting this in a game where the community will see a 1v1 and 8 more people jump in and then teabag the dude. Right?

So you think it makes more sense that, on escaping from Coldharbour everyone just happened to wash up in the alliance where the majority of the members of their race live? And nobody ended up somewhere else? Despite the fact that members of every race live in every alliance?Forestd16b14_ESO wrote: »Ehh.... kinda a bad idea but side note I do think any race any alliance was a terrible idea that kinda killed it for the game.

I don't think accounts should be faction locked... but I have always questioned the decision to not have guilds faction locked.
How would you faction lock a guild without faction locking characters, though? My guild is officially EP, and that's where all our main toons are, but most of us have alts in the other alliances as well.

Personally I think it should be 1 faction per account. The game has been out long enough now to create any race in any faction although again, it offers some uniqueness if certain races can only play for certain factions. It'd provide a sense of something to fight for. Personally I am DC only.
- It is lame when people play on all 3 and log onto whichever toon controls the map to grind easy xp/ap/sewers.
- It is also lame when people sit in zones with a level 10 character relaying chat to their guild.
- It is also lame when you have a level 10 out of stealth following you healing and highlighting your whole group to the enemy.
