You could always behold a guildie wearing it... Also the Guildmaster can see how it will look before they finalize so if anything they can send screenies straight from the Heraldry to inquiring minds.

I joined 4 guilds, all were going strong first couple of weeks, now I am the only one playing each day, everyone else seems to have moved on

I don't think it's so much that everyone has moved on, I think it's the fact that we can join 5 guilds at a time and that does not promote guild unity, you don't tend to feel loyal to the one guild like you do in other games and your time gets spread between multiple social groups, so you end up drifting away from them.

i would but every guild I join they have a nasty color that looks terrible with my armor.

I don't always wear a tabard, but when I do, I color my armor the way so it would fit together.

Actually there is only one time I don't wear a Tabard and that's when I happen to feel like being a Skeleton. Should probably make it so we can still use Polymorphs when wearing our Tabard to be honest... In fact, make a seperate Equip Slot for the Guild Tabard!

You could also join a Guild with a good looking Tabard.

The tabard grafics aren't such of a problem for me, the tabard in general covers too much of the outfit grafics imho...and I do love the Glass and Xyvkin look.

I don't wear them. It's not because they do or don't look good but because, to me, they don't fit into this game by ZOS' design.

Tabards are supposed to be shorter than that - that looks more like a surcoat. The line between a surcoat and a tabard is a bit fuzzy, but generally a tabard is shorter and open on the sides, so I'd call that a surcoat.

I know that problem. Every tabard I've worn seems to have the completely opposite design for every color of armor I've picked. So few pick a nice neutral tone that can work with just about any design.

I'd rather see a better option of guild cresting like in FFXIV, where you could add a guild crest to a shield or piece of armor enhancing the armor and not detracking from the look like a tabard does. Also there should be a feature that allows for you to choose one guild to represent and have guild unlocks that play into it.

of course. when we were fighting at cyrodiil I've always been wearing my green tabard of Allah. Leader was saying
"suicide vest on, Allahu akbar!" and we were timing our proximity detonations and charging in enemy group all together simultaneously. good old days. I missed that a lot.

give me a way to costumize my own tabard and ill wear it all the time, force me to join a guild i dont want to be in and waste a guild slot only because of a good-looking tabard and i wont wear it at all. simple as that.
