Oceanic servers??

So now that lots of MMOs are starting to have oceanic servers for us aussies, nz, and asia like WOW and SWTOR.
Where are they at??

Because as i am used to dealing with 250 to 300 ping constantly with every MMO in the past after playing on 20 to 40 ping with WOW and starwars
It is soooo dam hard to go back to 250 ping lol.

from normal lvleing combat i can manage very easily because im used to taking into account the delay but when i go into cyrodil, with 275 to 300 ping its a cluster *** and even if im better then the guy im trying to kill my 300 ping to his 40 ping means i will lose most of the time, which makes the most fun part of this game for me being the pvp a turn off, thus meaning im not going to be as likely to stay around for as long, which is a shame because this is in my eyes the best MMO with the most potential out in the market at the moment.

Just wondering if ZOS have said ANYTHING about us aussies or are they keeping silent about it and leaving us to die the the corner like always lol.

Yea its a struggle lol timezones i can deal with 300 ping in 2015 soon to be 2016 makes me cry lol

Oceanic servers? Don't they stop working when they are full of salt water?

Face it - with the condition this game is in at the moment, a server merge is far more likely than a separate Oceanic server.

ESO Japan servers are planned for Spring 2016.

So Aussie / Kiwi's might be able to join that server.

Cool maby they can move the location of the data center a little down which would give a nice ping for us as well but hey if its better then the american server ping wise i might check it out XD

Does not mean better ping rates though. Remember bf4 US servers having better latency than Japanese servers. Highly doubt we will ever see a Oceanic regional server. First & foremost, do we actually have the player numbers in this region to warrant one?
Works evenings, which of course is primetime. Trying to comprehend how dead a Oceanic server might be during the day, when most players are working, at school/university.

Going by your post OP, this is about the alliance war. Hate to break it to you, even with a server down this way, players are still going to get an advantage with ping rates. Heck, may not even be enough players to make the alliance war worth while.

Must state I play one other mmo, gw2. No Oceanic server is gw2 either, only NA & EU. Popular game, which came out over 3 years ago.

The Oceanic SWTOR server is a bad example to use, since it was closed in 2013 because the population was too low.
Very few MMORPG's have oceanic servers (as in located physically in the SEA area) as far as I know, I personally only know of WoW that actually has them.

I'm sorry to not want this. I know a lot of you aussies don't like playing with americans, but I love playing with you guys. Every Aussie I've ever played with has been so chill. Friendly, and fair. You guys rock and I'll be sad if your gone.

Now, I'd love to have better ping, no doubt about it, however only 2/6 of the vet campaigns on the American server are actually competitive for more than a couple hours a day.... think how quiet an Oceanic server would be..... 40 ping isn't any good if there are only 4 people in cyro.
Home yourself in Azuras, I can pretty much always find a fight there (NZ).

Doubt this is anti American thing. its about ping rates/latency. Us people from Oceania (NZ/Australia) are more than happy playing with people from North America.

Im realistic if they have the numbers it would be amazing but seriously i would rather have 40 on 40 battles with 40 ping then 100 plus on 100 plus on 350 ping lol.

I can deal with it all im saying is if a game with the same potential as ESO comes out with aussie servers boom im gone lol.

If they can do it because they have the numbers i would love it, does anyone know the actual number of players ESO has?

I seriously doubt Zenimax would do that. For anyone else to release solid numbers they would have to scope the entire server's population by watching it from every single possible angle 24/7 for at least a couple of weeks minimum to get an accurate count.

So in short no nobody has solid numbers lol

I only know of around half a dozen mmos that have had oceanic servers, and most of them closed down because of low population, the only ones I know of that still have oceanic servers are WoW, Runescape and Eldevin, there may be more but there certainly isn't a lot of them.

EU servers on PC seem perfectly fine to me, all the main hubs seem crowded most of the time when I log on, no idea what the console servers are lie though.

Yea the only reason SWOTR oceanic servers closed down was because we all abandoned the game soon after launch when it was apparent they had *** up by not having ANY end game content out lol. but when they had them the servers where packed and had ques, same with wow now which i still play has heaps of people.

?? not really all they need to do is start the counter on how many people log in every day across the mega servers do that for a week or 2 and they will have a very good record of how many active players they have vs the number of copys of the game they have sold. they know how many players they have haha just wondering if anyone knows if they have released the exact numbers yet.

Like wildstar at their lowest point only had 44,509 subs after they *** up lol. and now wow is down to less then 5.2 mill after the WOD *** up.
