Hey all was just wondering if this game has any form of transmogrifying gear?
and if it does not what the reasoning for that is.

Thanks for the feedback hope to hear from you all.

It doesn't really need it since you craft most gear in the game, so it all fits together.
They have dyes though, which is just as good, none of my gear looks mis-matched.
As for the reasoning why is probably because it'd take away from the costumes they sell on the crown store, which work similarly to transmog since you put the skin on over your armor.
Desperate for Roleplaying servers to bring open world non-organised RP to Elder Scrolls Online. Please ZOS.

True you can craft the gear its just abit sad when you find a really good look while lvling and cant keep it haha

The dye system is amazing and thank god they put that in lol have the fixed it so you can dye the costumes yet?

Still the base colour sadly. But they're constantly expanding. You can dye shields in an upcoming patch and likely weapons too after that. Costumes will hopefully be on the list.

That would be sweet as they have come so far since beta when i was here its looking amazing and is starting to feel amazing, just a few performance issues in certain places and a few things here and there but they are definitely moving in the right direction.

It does need it, and since day 1, because dropped sets can look fugly (Footmans) and mismatched.

OP, We've been asking for this for a long, long time (since launch even) and ZOS has said nothing. I hope we get it soon. Those with the Imperial Edition can already transmog most things into Imperial style

    @nimander99 WOW didn't invent the transmog ;)
    Sh'ira - One Eyed Tihm - Do'Mazar - Dar'Sol - Hazzahn - J'darr Sun-Arrow - Bishabi -J'manna - Narim Tollana - Abijah-Ra - Idhassi-Ko - Kajhe the Salty - Ti'lani - Sabhan-Dar - Palamai
    JakhajayAlt: Azala-Do - Saahni the Ohmes - S'aolla of the Darks - Zashima-La Ako'Zhajiit - Lo'Mai-Dro - Taheh-Do - Hrrula - Hatamira - Da'lai

    Shield Anvil - Trake's Talons
Knight Praefect - Knights of the Steel Claw

Personally I would love to see some gear style recrafting option in the game. Just added to the crafting stations, requiring a good deal of resources of all kinds, with a destruction chance just like temper improvements, which can be migrated by using more resources...

It would be really neat to have this to be able to redo any dropped or purchased gear to your preferred style (provided you learend the style - it might make style books more desired...)

It doesn't have it, and likely never will. Being able to create your own 'costumes' would likely cut into the profit of delling them in the crown store.

True i can see this being a big reason why they would not but at the same time they need to then step up and allow us to Dye the costumes they come out with, its only fair as well as bring out a system where you can say add a hood to your costume for a extra little price so that people can get the look they want if they want.

I would rather have personalised costumes than Transmorg.

Mostly because I'm sort lazy with that sort of thing, and when I played WoW I gave up with Transmorg as hunting down the armour pieces I wnated became a big pain in the bum!

Would LOVE to dye polymorphs and costumes though.

Can you imagine the new pumpkin polymorph in bright purple?!?! YES.
