Really liking this game so far

I'm really liking this game so far and therefore I think Zenimax deserves a big thumbs up. Heard some hate here and there but I guess we all like to be critical about a game we love. I like that all quests are fully voiced and on top of that they are interesting and tell a good story. Haven't seen this level of quality in an MMORPG before, not even in FFXIV which I've played before. I'm actually interested in doing some crafting which is rare, and I'm also enjoying the feeling of exploring the beautiful areas in the game. Thanks Zenimax! This is going to be my new main game...

Honestly, this has been my main game since PC launch about a year and a half ago. I love it. There are various flaws that I'd love to see fixed, but overall I still love this game.

unless they fix the current habits they have sooner o later you will start to see what everyone complains about that has made many leave. but till then enjoy the hell out of it while it lasts.

I'm glad you are enjoying it. If you like exploring, you will enjoy the variety between the different zones/alliances. They really did a good job there with making each have their unique feel even when they actually have elements in common.

Exactly. I like the variety between snowy lands/grassland/desert-like areas etc

Make sure you do the starter zones! One of the things that hooked me on this game from the start was the contrast between Stros M'kai and Glenumbra. On subsequent characters in the other alliances I enjoyed similar contrasts between Bleakrock and Stonefalls, and between Khenarthii's Roost and Auridon.

FFXIV has a great main story line. I have completely enjoyed it.

This game has a good story and side stories, but the ending of the main story line was un-epic and a little disappointing.

That said I do like ESO and how so many of the characters are voice acted, but it as you play it fails to complete the feeling of you being in an MMO. It plays and feels more like a single player RPG with limited group interaction.

On the MMO side I used to play Guild Wars, being OK with part 1, I was expecting part 2. Part 2 is a huge disappointment in my book - I tried 2 times, 2 characters at max level. It's just way too mindless and way too shiny, childish, etc.

That got me into Old Republic, but I got off there real soon.

I got into EVE and IMHO, among all these MMO's, much much better compared to other games. Level of complexity top notch, feeling of artisan-ship and conceptual role playing system that you can trip out there is probably the best one among MMO's.

Game however demands a bit more time and dedication to be able and play it on a competitive level + a good crew. It has the slow pace, but the thrill you get there in terms of feeling and experience is unfuckwithable[/period] Obligations I have are not allowing me to be there that much. When I get retired perhaps.

On a more relaxed stance, and being in love with The Elder Scrolls, I was skeptic about it but I decided to try TESO too.

Not sure if it's much smarter compared to GW2, I would say they are on the similar level - however TESO has much better background history/lore/story telling. On design end, I wish it was a bit more gloomier, I'm kinda of a fed up with happy shiny colorful worlds - gloomy dusted Morrowind, or gray Skyrim was much more pleasurable to me - but compared to competition at the moment, excluding EVE, TESO is a good game, not brilliant, but good. I think it has the potential to gather the crowd if they play it out in a smart way with fixing stuff.

THEDKEXPERIENCE

For my money this is the best console game ever made. Ignore the haters. That's what they do. Yes there are glitches and issues but those are present in games 1/100th the size of this one.

I do have a side tip to keep things interesting. After you complete Cadwell's Silver take a wayshrine to any of the dungeons in the Cadwell's Gold then walk out the door. Ignore all rails and disregard main quests. Just explore. You'll level very, very slowly but you'd be amazed at the weird stuff you'll see when you're not going from quest to quest.

I don't care what goes wrong with this game ever I will play it until the day I decide otherwise and then probably resume playing it again after said break when my interest level returns. As it stands now I have an extremely high interest level to play it which isn't dropping anytime soon. It is my one and only MMORPG and will probably remain such which means I have that to keep me playing at least. Yes this is a great game and yes it has room for improvement and seeing as it is continuing to expand it shall do so! Don't let a few bugs here and there or a few bad days get you down and sure as hell don't listen to the naysay cult!

Glad to see that new players are enjoying the game! Yes, there are issues, but so much has been addressed (though much does still remain to be addressed).

However, even with bugs/exploits, I still enjoy the game, as many others do. I haven't been playing since closed beta, but I did play in some open betas in early 2014 and have been a subscriber since PC early access (though the recent problems with ESO+ on consoles has given me pause).

I'm excited for Orsinium, so that has revitalized my interest in actually playing the game (I've been mostly doing maintenance for the past few months).

There are so many threads dedicated to bashing the game - it's nice to see a few pop up that praise it.

This game is great in certain aspects and has a lot of potential in others. They need to do something about the Alliance war providing some type of meaning ... but yes, I agree. Great game.

My favorite part is the combat system. The old tab target MMOs with rotations was just getting old.

I consistently say in these forums that this is the best mmo on the market, nothing comes close, and it's potential is staggering. So going from already the best (imo) to the potential is going to be a fun ride

My qualifications for making the above statement are as follows; I have played every Elder Scrolls game to completion several times. Plus I have achieved max level or end game characters in the following mmo's (sometimes a couple); WoW, GW2, SWtoR, Everquest 1 & 2, Ashen Empires (Dransik), Neverwinter, TERA, STO, DDO, LotRO, FF14, FF9, and of course ESO... there are others but that's all I care to drop for now, OH soon Wildstar (very close too Elder Game)
