Now Long Launcher Screen

Nope WIN10, can't be that.

You may have answered your own question there. A new OS may throw up some initial compatibility issues. I'm not saying that's it, but it's certainly a possibility.

Any update on the in-game load screens? Switching from zone to zone, logging in/out of characters, etc. Doing any kind of group content is really annoying when you have to spend a long time waiting for your group members to fight loading screens.

They're "looking into it" which translated means don't hold your breath waiting for a fix.

its funny that its all hey zos something game breaking is messing with our gameplay...zos is all oh hey we know about that we are "looking into it" and by that I mean in 4 months when new dlc comes out we will fix it but on the plus note we have new fashion for you yay costumes!! whilst everyone is like [snip] when will they stop this and fix the real issues....

I mean we will be like hey there is a skill that just annihilates everyone (trap beast) they are well we didn't fix that but at least you can see the beams from skills/staffs again yay! like come on lol. <--- just an example not to be taken too literally, was the first 2 bugs that came to mind.

this game makes me lol because it was fun but they break everything they touch haha now if they would fix things and properly test them before release maybe all these bugs wouldn't happen instead of rushing through to push out a dlc like a pregnant woman trying to get that baby out NOW!! its like take your time make it and do it right then release it.

My wife and I are both having the same issue, started yesterday. Different PC's, so unlikely the same internal issue on our PC's happened at the same time. I also find it hard to believe that everybody in this thread suddenly had the same port blocking or firewall blocking issue.

It was running normally (well normal for ZoS) last week. Have been running Win10 for months with no problems.

Strangely the PTS "play" button is up immediately. Only the NA button you have to wait for.

The sad part this is all true. After this long (PC Beta) I really think there can only be two reasons for not fixing the long term bugs on PC/MAC.

1. Who ever is in charge puts them low on the list. (If true he should be fired)!
2. They actually have no clue how to fix the bugs. (If true the whole team should be fired).

Just no excuse for any of this. This is the first game I ever played where the launcher never gets updated or changed other than stuff for sale. Weird part they don't have to update it to change their store items.

Yeah,I too get this happening,but it doesnt bother me enough to get onto ZOS about it.I just take a moment and wait.No problem.

I hear you but you should know being here a while yourself, that when things start going weird it normally leads to other bad things. We have been through way to much to keep running into new problems.

This works also for bugged ''repairs'' that the game keeps asking now and then.

I use launcher only on patch days.

Use eso.exe to launch game without launcher.
Problem solved.

Since the day before the OP I've been seeing it both on a Windows 7 machine and on a Windows 8 machine... Neither of which had this issue before then.

I don't have DLC, my loading screens are fast and launcher loading are fast.

Another patcher issue that has resurfaced (in EU at least), is the "corrupt manifest, please repair" issue. Where you have to close / restart the patcher 6 times before it will actually let you use Play.

afaik, it's an issue with the CDN presenting old content / being out of date.

Have you also noticed loading screens went from 30 seconds up to 3 minutes with 1.7 or not?

Logging-in and loading has been painfully slow right from day 1. No matter what anyone says here, it's not going to change soon....

Unless they can find a way of offering a faster service for those who are prepared to pay an extra fee....

For those that don't know (on the PC) you don't have to use the launcher unless you're patching or fixing the client, you can load the game directly from the .exe in the live or liveeu folder and bi-pass the launcher.

The PC eso.exe is in the client folder...

e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online or ...Online EU, or ...Online PTS\game\client

Browse to the appropriate folder for NA, EU, or PTS. Right-click on eso.exe and use the context menu Send To desktop. If you play on more than one megaserver, rename the desktop shortcut to indicate the client folder. "Shortcut to eso.exe" > eso NA; or eso EU, eso PTS.

Of course you need to be sure your Bethesda Launcher has the current updates to avoid an error message. (Only Bethesda_Launcher has the patcher downloader._

Can you look at the team trying to fix the long loading screens? looks like they fell sleep 1 month ago and they havent wake up.
