Maelstrom Arena plain and simple feedback

Ok plain and simple, its an amazing concept and a lot of fun, but it is FAR TO PUNISHING. I am actually needing to stop because it might be getting to a point of causing health issues due to stress levels, specifically near the Vault of Umbrage, because it, again, is far to punishing and unforgiving. One problem that especially is causing issues is that when I run out of the exploding green clouds of death, even when I am out of them, I still get the killing debuff. Again, awesome concept awesome thing, far to punishing and stress causing.

Also, I could hit an NPC a million times and they wont take any damage at all. Also, I have been doing this thing for 4 hours now, and I am doing it on normal mode.

Dont get me wrong tho, I am all for challenging things, but for something that should be considered "normal" difficulty, this is way excessive.

Sadly tho, since is being posted at night, I feel like my chances of getting this seen by ZOS are slim.

For this particular arena, there is something you're missing right now. Think of the ice Arena and how difficult that would have been if you hadn't realized that standing in the water was a bad idea. I've experienced that same kind of stress in a lot of different games, and sometimes it's good to take a short break and come back at it with fresh eyes, helps you see things you might not have seen before. There's going to be a learning curve with these challenges, but once you figure it out and execute it properly, repeating it won't be much of an issue.

I just finished this phase. As a templar, it was a simple matter to spam purify in order to get rid of the poison debuff. If you don't have access to a cleanse or purify, then this fight is going to be much more difficult because the pods are very hard to avoid and if you get the debuff, you are dead. Even after the timer runs out, there is a delay and you will still die from poison damage. I don't know if this is intentional or not.

In order to avoid the Boss's rage scream (that will also kill you) you have to stand inside the blue shelter of one of the Minder's shields for the duration of the scream. So you must leave at least one Minder alive. It's ok to kill the rest of them because they have a nasty port-to-you-then-aoe-stun-you attack, but you must leave one of them alive in order to get inside their shield.

I can't imagine trying to do this fight w/o a cleanse though. It would be much harder.

I did this as a stam nb with no purge and I managed but I had issues with rubber banding (not from the spriggins) and the red circle not appearing. It's easy to do once you know the fight.

There are no Sprigians in this fight. You must be thinking of an earlier round. I think it was round 2 or 3 that had the sprigians. This is round 7 we are talking about.
