Error 210 PatchManifestError_DownloadFail

Since the last big patch I have the above mentioned error on starting the launcher on my Windows 10 machine. In order to actually play the game I started the client directly via the executable in the game/client directory. This worked till today but the released patch today outdated my client and I therefore can't log in while the error in the launcher still remains. I clicked repair way to many times already without actually doing something except showing the same error message again ...

As my computer is pretty new (2 weeks old) I don't want to install the game from scratch. What other way do I have to install the patch and play the game?

After disabling my anti virus software, granting ESO full access through my firewall and further setting tweeks I figured out that the launcher actually now needs adming priviledges to execute - why does the launcher actually need admin priviledges to download a simple patch file? I've installed the game on my non-admin account without any problems, also on my old computer (Windows 7) my default user did not have admin priviledges and the patches downloaded without any problems. I did not change any directory permissions or tweaked anything other.

So please explain why the launcher needs admin priviledges in first place or update the launcher to work without them ...

Hi @Kessra !

Launching ESO as administrator is a standard troubleshooting step, and it can be due to needing permissions for ESO to read/write to certain files (such as patching, UserSettings etc)

I've been unable to install the PTS at all, either. Same issue as OP - patch manifest fail. I've attempted running as Administrator, deleting PTS folder, reinstalling ESO, no effect. Still getting PatchManifest issue and constant "Update" or "Repair" option for PTS client.
