Lol Slaxis you need to get up to date with your information or if you don't have the correct info not go randomly throwing out accusations and making threads. This pvdooring you're complaining about never happened, it was us looking for the 2 groups of 15 AD each that had just made half a dozen attacks on outposts and keeps within the half an hour before. They stopped attacking so we went looking for them at Fare where we saw swords on the map.

When they did not show from us flagging Fare did we take your scrolls last night? That's right we didn't, when Glade and Fare were taken was after we logged for the night and it was done by a handful of players looking for late night action who also didn't take your scrolls. AD was happy to dethrone me with 40+ people while EP had less than 12 total on in Cyrodiil in the early morning, should I make a thread complaining about morning zerg deposing?

Beast you are not understanding what im saying. Also im not blaming anyone about it what im saying is we need to stop pushing eachother back to our gates when there is no defense to stop it. If someone logs off with emp then so be it dethrone, crown your emp but don't mean push the other factions back all the way. People log in from all factions im guessing like WTF ill just go sewers or not even play.

Actually you are blaming people, remember when you whispered me last night/this morning and said "stop pvedooring" even though said keep was infact being defended by AD and there was also another half raid or two of AD elsewhere on the map at the time too. Just because you guys can't get your sh*t together long enough to organize a halfway decent keep defense doesn't mean everybody else is "pvedooring".

It's how herd mentality manifests itself in Cyrodiil. I mean, if people chose their faction and server randomly, it wouldn't matter how many people are on-line: all factions would on average be equally sized at all times.

Organized groups upset the balance and in their wake unaffiliated players of the same alliance playing at the same time will follow and players of other alliances will leave. It's a vicious cycle.

I'm all for gentlemen's agreements, but the only thing I suspect will work against population imbalance is if people could temporarily switch sides to even the odds, or perhaps introducing an mercenary faction you can join instead of your own to fight for whoever is weakest, for high rewards of course. Preventing abuse will be a challenge for the devs, but it's not insurmountable.

Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

my guild is a 24/7 guild(unless the server is down for maintenance of course ). i am not about to tell them, "hey guys and gals i know you work night shift but when you come home can you not play pvp". its nobodies fault that all alliances dont have 24/7 guilds. i even see guilds in recruiting section that have specific time playing requirements. this is a serious restriction to those guilds. PvP is a competition. if you want to get more competitive and stand a chance, try recruiting for around the clock.

So, those people who don't have the luxury of playing at the same time as everyone else can sit on it?

Pvdooring Keeps with no player resistance isn't pvp, stop pretending.
Taking all the keeps to the gates while most of the player base is sleeping, is just trolling, and everyone knows it. Even the nubs who don't read these forums.

This is a tired and old debate however; a horse beaten to death many months ago.
Some people just can't help themselves and/or feel like 'getting back' at an alliance (usually specific players) for slights perceived when they were fighting during the most populated hours.

There is no way to stop it unless , we the players/community, make it happen. Which at this point seems like a lost cause.

There is a way to stop it actually. However, it will never happen. ZoS could make an NZ/Aussie server so they can play on their own time zones. I like the players, don't get me wrong. But their timezone kills any NA balance. Regardless if they gate camp or not. It's the only choice they have. I don't think the EU servers can work for them either.

Honestly there's so little people to fight as it is, this is a terrible idea. No offense. If anything we need to re-condense - delete Chillrend and Haderus where random population plays by themselves and put people in active, healthy, thriving campaigns.

@Slaxis I agree. It's my personal policy when leading groups that we leave the gatekeepers alone unless there's something to gain from them, like a scroll or cut transit. Folks in our guild also know that gate-camping is a big "NO" that we just don't do. It's quite simple, these *** moves are ruining PvP. If players login, take one look at the map and say "screw it", there is no one to fight. I can't wrap my head around the logic that some groups have where they seem content to farm the handful of opposing faction players trying to take Glade or Fare back, when if given a good, fair, fight, they have far more AP to gain when the population increases during prime time. It's absurd.

Alot of responsibility falls to AD and DC to get it together and start creating groups to contend with the EP zerg (many are working on it), but at the same time, the campaign hopping is getting really old. Pick a campaign and stick to it. If you kill your chosen home campaign because you're doing things that make the other alliances not want to bother in Cyro, so be it - less AP for you. You made the bed that is this dying PvP environment, lie in it, or change your ways. Otherwise pretty soon, there's going to be no one to fight and that sounds pretty boring to me.

But sometimes... we all want to gate camp people.

Actually, no, that's not a true statement. Some of us don't care for gate or spawn camping - be it at the gates/sewer entrances in Cyrodiil or the ladders/sewers in IC. I have personally, on numerous occasions, walked away from such, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

How a person plays is a choice.
